Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2022) Staneski
Closest thing to 3F I've had from Cantillon. Cherry pie for sure, but pretty dang tart and medium-high acidity. Will likely sit on the other bottles I have for a while.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2016) Staneski
Drinking beautifully right now. Cantillon Geuze needs a fair amount of time in my experience, but around that 6-7 year mark it really starts to shine.

Oude Geuze Boon à L'Ancienne - VAT 110 Mono Blend (2016) Staneski
Funky, horse blankety, nice amber hue. Nose was a bit muted but it is an 8 year old beer after all. Really enjoyed this and it stands up to 3F imo, but just a hair below. 4.4

Tyrnilambic Baie D'Argousier (2021) Staneski
I absolutely loved this. Reminiscent a little bit of this year's Zwanze. Briney, funky, almost musty. Fruit character is very much integrated with the other components.

Really unique and seems to be underrated. Rare these days to find a heavily fruited saison with literally no tartness. Blueberries dominate but Rye spice, saison funk, and a lil bit of esters hang out in the back. 3.8

Not sure if it was bottle variance or just weird timing, but this was probably my least favorite Nath. Musty, leathery, and not enough fruit to overtake those notes.

Lou Pepe Gueuze (2013) Staneski
Pi day LPG and totally different from the other 2013 I had. Nose and taste were crazy black/oolong tea. One of the best and most unique noses I've ever experienced. As good as the 18 Geuze was, this was everything cranked to 11

Classic Gueuze (2018) Staneski
Banger. Mag bottled in February. Crushed in like 30 minutes between 6 of us because it was so drinkable

Honestly not my favorite Cantillon but I think it'd age well. Sweet and fruity, a bit thin.

Super unique brew, crazy nose. Again I would love to try this with a few years on it. Not very funky, more fruity. Brine notes come out as it warms

Cantillon and grapes are a match made in heaven. Super funky and musty.

Lou Pepe Gueuze (2013) Staneski
The other contender for beer of the day. Just an absolute banger that has held up incredibly well. The carb was quite literally perfect on this bottle. Tons of trademark Cantillon funk that I don't usually expect to find in their Geuze.

Lou Pepe Kriek (2017) Staneski
Straight cherry pie. Funky but not as much as I was expecting. Quite delicious

Phenomenonal, this and Mia were just fantastic. A perfect example of Cantillon at their best from a geuze perspective.

Among my favorite unfruited Cantillon, probably my favorite. The barrel character was so interesting on this. Bright, funky, citrusy

LCI - more tart and acidic than other batches imo. Still fantastic

Old label 21. Delicious, lots of apple and oak character

Rare miss for me from Cantillon. The fruit character was just off putting and unpleasantly sour

I am an absolute sucker for wine grape lambics. This is no exception, just absolutely phenomenal. Super dry and vinous yet fruity

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2020) Staneski
Still prefer 3F OG but this is super tasty. A little more on the citrus and apple side of the spectrum.

My favorite of the seasonals, I prefer it with some age but wanted to try relatively fresh. Nice and light, fruit forward but not dominant
about 2 years ago
Superb. Very soft, more funk than I usually get from regular Cantillon geuze, a beautiful hint of sweetness from the port barrel. Lived up to my expectations for sure. 4.6

What a treat to have this at 10 years old. Aged incredibly gracefully. Still a ton of fruit but so much funk characteristic and barrel notes coming out

Interesting, definitely get that Cognac or smoky note to it. Very oakey and funk forward. 4.1

This was quite nice, didn't get a lot of unique notes from the barrels though. Very soft and approachable, low acidity. Would love to try an older bottle at some point

My least favorite Cantillon. Idk what it is this just doesn't hit for me. Very dry, a bit tannic, tart berries.

Drinking amazingly right now. Funk and fruit are at just the right balance for each other. Not my favorite fruit Cantillon uses otherwise this would rate higher

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2008) Staneski
Really enjoyed this. Absolutely dank af. Tons of leathery horse blankety peppery goodness. Actually had some oddly similar characteristics to the CD17

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2019) Staneski
Love the soft funkiness that Cantillon always brings. This one seemed more rustic and horse blankety than other batches I've had which is a good thing imo.

Always a favorite of mine. Don't typically go for cherry beers but this is just perfectly executed. So soft and delicate, low acidity, light and approachable

Tonnnnnnnnnns of floaties, seemed weird for a geuze? Drank nicely tho

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2015) Staneski
Spicy hoppy element at play here. Love that geuzey funk that I assume comes from a long time bottle conditioning. Up there but not my favorite Cantillon
about 3 years ago
Fuck this might be my favorite Cantillon. Subtle fruit, funky, earthy, smooth
about 3 years ago
Incredible. The balance of the sweetness and tartness of the Apricot with the funk and dryness of the lambic is perfect.

LCI A little bitterness which I was not expecting. Good but not my favorite offering from them.

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) Staneski

Good but not my favorite Cantillon. Peppery, mineraly, a bit harsh. Intense flavors here

Wow. Mild, nicely carbonated, balanced fruit. Everything you would expect from a Cantillon fruited lambic. Wish I could get this once a week. 4.6

Wow. My first Cantillon and it lived up to the hype. Incredibly smooth, tart cherry smacks you on the nose but it's so silky on the back end. Hard to imagine a better Kriek. 4.9
