Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2022) Staneski

Closest thing to 3F I've had from Cantillon. Cherry pie for sure, but pretty dang tart and medium-high acidity. Will likely sit on the other bottles I have for a while.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2016) Staneski

Drinking beautifully right now. Cantillon Geuze needs a fair amount of time in my experience, but around that 6-7 year mark it really starts to shine.

Oude Geuze Boon à L'Ancienne - VAT 110 Mono Blend (2016) Staneski

Funky, horse blankety, nice amber hue. Nose was a bit muted but it is an 8 year old beer after all. Really enjoyed this and it stands up to 3F imo, but just a hair below. 4.4

Tyrnilambic Baie D'Argousier (2021) Staneski

I absolutely loved this. Reminiscent a little bit of this year's Zwanze. Briney, funky, almost musty. Fruit character is very much integrated with the other components.

Mr. Blue Staneski

Really unique and seems to be underrated. Rare these days to find a heavily fruited saison with literally no tartness. Blueberries dominate but Rye spice, saison funk, and a lil bit of esters hang out in the back. 3.8

Nath (2021) Staneski

Not sure if it was bottle variance or just weird timing, but this was probably my least favorite Nath. Musty, leathery, and not enough fruit to overtake those notes.

Lou Pepe Gueuze (2013) Staneski

Pi day LPG and totally different from the other 2013 I had. Nose and taste were crazy black/oolong tea. One of the best and most unique noses I've ever experienced. As good as the 18 Geuze was, this was everything cranked to 11

Banger. Mag bottled in February. Crushed in like 30 minutes between 6 of us because it was so drinkable

Sang Bleu (2024) Staneski

Honestly not my favorite Cantillon but I think it'd age well. Sweet and fruity, a bit thin.

Zwanze 2024 - MMXXIV Staneski

Super unique brew, crazy nose. Again I would love to try this with a few years on it. Not very funky, more fruity. Brine notes come out as it warms

Lou Pepe Gueuze (2013) Staneski

The other contender for beer of the day. Just an absolute banger that has held up incredibly well. The carb was quite literally perfect on this bottle. Tons of trademark Cantillon funk that I don't usually expect to find in their Geuze.

Rare miss for me from Cantillon. The fruit character was just off putting and unpleasantly sour

Superb. Very soft, more funk than I usually get from regular Cantillon geuze, a beautiful hint of sweetness from the port barrel. Lived up to my expectations for sure. 4.6
