#beer&books! Aged this in my "cellar" for quite long. Finished with dark cassonade sugar and champagne yeast. Wonderful stout aroma, but just too sweet for me. Wife seems to love though 🤷🏻♂️ cheers 🤟

Vintage 2019. Suprisingly sweet and hoppy. Quite different beer than 10+ years ago.

From my beer scrapbook in 17/02/2012. Back then it was 16.5%. I said that the first sip was bitter chocolate and coffee but with a smooth syrupy texture. A long lingering bitter aftertaste.

2018 listed on the bottom. 16.5% version. Holding up really well for its age. Not still tons of aged soy umami coming through though, which is not really my thing

This 2019 vintage is undrinkable. I tried it both yesterday and today, but it's ridiculously bitter (extremely burnt crème brûlée).

It's been years since I've had one of these. They seriously back sweetened it, way more than I remember. So much it makes your lips stick together.

Checking it in because we had it. It came to us nearly six years old and not certain how it was stored. It hasn't held up. Not fair to rate it.

LCI. One I’d stored for a few years, thought I’d see the new year in with it. Very disappointed, far too boozy and hadn’t aged well. A bad fortified wine.

El tiempo lamentablemente no siempre lo cura todo. Este batch (2017?), muy similar a la lata de ese mismo tiempo, es solvente a la vena. En nariz ya empieza a doler la cabeza. Peligrosa en el mal sentido de la palabra …

I love imperial stouts & coffee stouts. This has way too much coffee and leaves a terrible bitter aftertaste. Down the drain. Probably why it was free.

Very sweet and alcoholic, high carbonation level. Sadly very bad batch. It's the from the Beer Mail Box. Best before 07/10/29. Maybe in 8 years it will get better. Actually I had to pur it out.

Sour... This didn't taste right. Absolutely terrible. The worst beer I've drank in years by far. Words cannot convey how disgusting this beer is. I assume there was an issue with this batch.

Taste - sweet, bitter, roast, sour, herbal, alcoholic mix. This is very weird and feels quite over-roasted. There is sweetness somewhere but the roast.. cmon, it kills it too much.

Jak jesteś fanem gorzkich imperialnych stoutów kup sobie to. Przestaniesz być. Paskudna goryczka, jakby pić wywar z dębu i zagryzać żołędziami

Nope, I still can't do this one. One dimensional sweetness stout... Unbalanced and just overly sugary.. maybe you get a tiny hint of some coffee and/or liquorice, but it's just drowned in residual sugars
