Petit gushing à l'ouverture! Nez légers fruits confits, levures. Grosse rondeur en bouche, fruits confits, peu alcooleux, pointe d'amertume, peu de longueur tout de même. Plutôt cordial.

Initial nose is banana and lots of it. First taste is smooth, sweet, heavy and boozy. Seems to be a bit thin in the mid-taste; initial flavours still dominate. The end and aftertaste are warming and richly boozy.

Geinspireerd op westvleteren en rochefort, dat vond ik wat tegenvallen. Prima lekker bier, maar een stuk vlakker naar mijn mening dan die andere 2!

Pour le coup on sent vraiment les inspirations trappistes même s’il n’y a pas la complexité d’une westvleteren 12. Mais c’est bien foutu dans les aspects fruités et épicés. Ça manque juste un peu de rondeur pour atteindre le résultat recherché.

Dark fruits, plums, figs, dark malts, licorice. Belgian yeast. Proper Belgian dark strong ale. Over carbonated bottle conditioned though. Almost climbed out of the bottle on its own. Best before 26/10/25.

Crisp from the tap. Warm cocoa and caramel and a hint of fruit and spice.
