The only lager I really like is a dark lager and this one did not disappoint! Good strong flavor and kick.

Earthy, raisin, copper malt. Smooth but light. Long finish. Warming baking spices. Been on an "okay but not great* beer run for a while, nice to open a big bottle of Mikkeller on a rainy Friday night.

Well developed, complex. Deep, malty toasted Belgian style, rich without feeling heavy. Nicely snappy, insinuations of leather and treacle. Sexy.

A lovely rendition of a style that can get away from brewers who try to tell too much without showing for it in clean fermentation. Smooth, almost creamy, dense with plum and jam notes, some restrained astringency for balance, and a complex finish.

Rob B. remember picking these up? VIP treats! Not the richest quad, but I’m not sure that’s a bad thing. Dry and dangerously sippable.

Bärnsten till mörkt brun i färgen. Doft med inslag av skumbanan. Elegant bubbel. Kraftig smak med sötma, skummande jästighet, brödigt och lite blommigt. Riktig munkpangare i belgisk stil.
