Yep, tastes like you dipped French toast in a bourbon-barrel-aged scotch ale, then drizzled it with maple syrup. Yowza.

P: light honey brown, mod foam. S: wow, maple syrup 100%! Brown sugar. Med body, dryer. T: maple syrup to the face! Sweetness is there upfront but leave quickly to dryness. Not thick enough to stick but nice while it’s there. A nice sipper.

This is straight French toast in a glass. The nose is on point, the taste is absurd. BUT, why vanilla and maple extracts? Why not aged on vanilla beans in maple bourbon barrels 🧐? Still very tasty.

I love me some Backwoods Bastard, and maple syrup. The cinnamon, tree bark....tone down the fucking cinnamon. It's too much in this guy...takes me out of it. Good idea, bad execution IMO.

A bit too much breakfast and not enough booze for me, but enjoyable nightcap. Thanks, AC.

Superb. Smells exactly like French toast. Tastes exactly like French toast. A tad of bitter hop flavor on the back end. Really yummy.

Scotch ales / Wee heavy my favorite brews. Complex front end has maple syrup sweetness, a lot of alcohol on the finish. Vanilla & bourbon on the nose, with a little barrel aged goodness as well. Thick and rich, Pretty good but @ 11.1% it's a sipper.
