Better than I remember from the first time I had this. Little sweeter than I remember. Still really good.

November 7th, 2013 The day I started cataloging my brews. I'm going to consider todays Bastard a throwback since my very first check-in was a Founders Backwoods Bastard. Profound when I think about it.

Hands down one of the best beers that I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. The flavor profile is out of this world. Explosive notes of cinnamon and syrup, what's not to like! It's like literally, dessert in a bottle. When released, time to stock!!!

I gotta admit, it's probably the best French toast beer I've had. Really well balanced between the vanilla, maple, and cinnamon. Plus it's not overly sweet. What's even more surprising is that it's a BBA beer with a high 11.1% abv, but you'd never know it

Holy shit, this is my new favorite stout. This is the very best stout I've ever had.

Pours dark brown, but lighter than expected. Sweet aroma of maple syrup, cinnamon, and sweet bourbon. Whoa, like liquid french toast with bourbon for syrup. This beer is excellent!

So, so delicious. One of the smoothest scotch ales I have ever had, hands down. Sweet but not too sweet, syrupy but not overpowering or thick. Dare I say refreshing?

As advertised - aroma is a persistent butter and maple slathered pancakes. Scattered soapy lacing with some puddling. As a fan of Backwoods Bastard, I cannot believe how much better they made it with this one. Pancakes in a glass.

First time having this on draft. The bottle does it justice.I somehow taste more maple syrup compared to the bottle and I feel like the bottle was packed with maple syrup.

The nose on this is almost as good as the flavor. A wonderful meld of vanilla, maple, bourbon and so good.
