So much maple syrup. Super sweet and like drinking maple syrup. Tasty but only in small doses.

En "arme riddere-udgave" af Backwoods Bastard. Ud over bourbonfadlagring er der ahornsirup, kanel og vanille her. Skyhøje forventninger, men jeg blev noget skuffet. Synes ganske enkelt kanelen bliver lidt for dominerende i smagen 🤷♂️

Almost clear dark amber with a small ring of tan foam. Spicy light sourish, malty caramel spicy rich cinnamon cake maple some alcohol. Medium body aveerage to lively carbonation dry spicy finish with little alcohol warmth. 130922

Good overall. Not as dark or smooth as I hoped and a bit too sweet.

2022 - Far cry from the Mothership batch. Founders is putting flavor extracts in everything now and it's not a good thing. Strong adjuncts capturing somewhat of a savory French Toast flavor but its very artificial tasting

The cinnamon and vanilla are very strong. It delivers what it says -tastes like French toast. But strong.

French Toast beer. Does not smell as good as it tastes. Bourbon is not really prevalent.

Very sweet flavors of vanilla and cinnamon and rich. Feels like drinking syrup and is boozy. It's enjoyable but I would not want this over an evening. Might be best to share as a dessert beer.
