Syrupy sweetness mars a good ale - brown with medium tan head, nice thick chew, heavy maple aroma and flavor, syrupy thick drippy sweetness distracts from strong base ale

I assumed this was a stout...so I was surprised to see it's a Scotch ale. Strong maple scent, immediate flavor is like syrup and then it's gets bitter. Interesting, not my fav.

Strong aromas of maple, cinnamon and bourbon. Taste is quite sweet, almost cloying. Very much French toast as advertised but the maple is overwhelming and there’s not enough hops or tartness to balance the sweetness. Disappointing.

Either I no longer like the French toast or just not this version of it as it’s not as good as it used to be. I know I used to love pigeon hills

Super sweet at the first sip. Get a lot of that maple sugar that slowly gives to the cinnamon. Like drinking a pancake.

Well crafted, tastes like a drunk French toast. Hints of cinnamon mixed with vanilla and maple

Better with 1 year of age. The nose is still horrid. This is one of those pour, drink an IPA... and then enjoy.
