French Toast Bastard

Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy

Backwoods Bastard gets the 4-star breakfast treatment. Our bourbon barrel-aged Scotch Ale is introduced to maple syrup, cinnamon, and sweet vanilla for a decadent brunch-inspired sipper. Breakfast for dinner, anyone?

Nice as dessert, as standalone a bit too sweet. Nice flavours though.

Väldigt söt ("pastry wee heavy"?). Spritig, vilket är bra, balanserar sötman något. Smakerna sitter verkligen, lönnsirap och vanilj är väldigt tydliga, med en fin avrundning av kanel.

Maple syrup bomb on both nose and palate. Sweet entry but does have some mild bitterness on the finish to clean things up a bit. Fun stuff but one in a session is great plenty.

Breakfast in a glass! It's Backwards Bastard with added maple, vanilla, and cinnamon. Sweetness of maple it's in your face with the other flavors coming at the end. Definitely prefer regular version but this is a nice twist.

Decent. Tastes a little like fake maple syrup, though.

Get the syrup notes in it. Not overly sweet. Would buy again
