Ik vroeg me direct af hoe maple syrup eigenlijk smaakt. Chocolade en Bourbon. Mondgevoel is oily en bijna vettig. Ook wat droge hout toetsen. Maple? Misschien.

久しぶりに飲んだCBS、チョココーヒー感強め、香りはメープル。ちょっと甘み強め。飲みごたえあるのは度数のせいだな。

It taste exactly how it is described. It’s sweet and boozy and pairs nice with breakfast. Always a fav. As with most stouts as it warmed the flavor intensified. Yummy

Comparing to my carpe diem. This is good, but it is no carpe diem. Too much whiskey, not much maple/carmel.

Last year Bryce T. gave me one of these and told me that it was a pleasant Christmas morning beer - maybe even a shower beer. Since then, I’ve decided to make this my Christmas morning shower beer, until I run out of them :)

KBS with a little maple and even smoother and richer. A classic...had to grab my last one after hearing they were discontinuing it. Don’t have any Norwegian beer, so an American one with a little Canada in it will have to do for an overdo nordic ski wax!

2019 vintage, first had on draft back in 2012, good looking stout with aroma of chocolate,vanilla and booze,smooth on first sip but the alc legs catch up with warmth, good sipper on a winter night,superior to last one I had a few years ago? Gracias Dr B

At first it was a bit more mapley than the 2018 but also a tad sharper, it’s mellowed as it’s opened. A tad more carbonated than 2018. It’s held up nicely! HBD Ben!

Interesting in that it's in transition. The maple is fading and the bourbon is emerging. Still a little heat which subdues the chocolate and coffee notes.
