Fou' Foune

Delicious. So smooth, soft and pillowy, like no other lambic I’ve had before. Great blended apricots. Brett is back!! (And thanks for the beer!)

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019)

2019…pre-racism allegations. The last founders I ever purchased tastes pretty good, but this beer is fairly above average in the world of BA these days.

Dirty Bastard

Had a hankering for a malty scotch ale after last night, and this one is always satisfying. Sweet malty caramel. Better overlooking a Nordic center, but also good warming in the shower before some pizza.

Lou Pepe Gueuze (2010)

Really nice. A great lambic from Brett C. Earthy funkiness at its best.

Classic Gueuze (2014)

Beautiful light funk. A great beer from a lambic lover Brett C. for Joe. Earthy and bright and the carbonation is perfect.

Dirty Bastard (2018)

A nice Scotch ale on derby day for the famous Scot Bill Shankly who joined Liverpool on this day in 1959 and brought them up before leading them to the many titles that cemented his legacy and the club’s storied history. Smooth sweet malty and light.

Dirty Bastard (2018)

Cold Dirty Bastard and a touchdowwwwnnn…and XP going to the house the other way. Plucked this 2018 vintage Old DB from the new basement cellar/cupboard, and it’s a nice late fall beer on a 70 deg day. Caramel malty goodness. Founders X Redskins FTW!

Yule Mælk Bourbon Barrel Aged

Dark boozy milk stout (aka black Xmas milk). Tastes a little like a BA old ale towards the end. Awesome label. Awesome fire after a suspect start.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019)

KBS with a little maple and even smoother and richer. A classic...had to grab my last one after hearing they were discontinuing it. Don’t have any Norwegian beer, so an American one with a little Canada in it will have to do for an overdo nordic ski wax!

Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019)

The race of Truth. The race against the Clock. A still great OG beer rewinding to 2011 to give you, Andy fucking Schleck, the power seen here to give Le TDF everything you had. I was so proud to see you on the podium in Paris after your performance all wk

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2018)

More coffee, richer barrel. I still prefer balance of 2017, but 2018 is sharper & hotter & good foil to older varieties. Hi-Wire, let’s pour one out for NORTHHH CAROLIIINAAAAAA (come on & raise up! This one’s for me..you..us us us) Petey Pab muthafucka!

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2017)

This beer is just so solid. The first coffee maple I had and still the best. I remember I got a small pour from Charles Nitze at ChurchKey when they had a Founders takeover back in 2015/2016, & I was blown away. This one stands up Joe. Ohhhh Canada!

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019)

More maple forward and better barrel than 2018 that drowns out coffee. Like the small format though. I’d say 2017>2019>2018. Need that 2020 from, honestly, the best fucking year ever for me.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2018)

More coffee forward and hotter barrel than 2017, but still a very solid maple stout. Thanks Rory O. for your leftovers (I think)!
