Dirty Bastard (2018)

Scotch Ale / Wee Heavy

Dark ruby in color and brewed with seven varieties of imported malts. Complex in finish, with hints of smoke and peat, paired with a malty richness and a right hook of hop power.

Vijf jaar rijping doet dit bier goed! Chocolade, koffie, moutig, vol en complex

Big malty aroma and flavor, with toffee up front. Held up nicely, too.

A nice Scotch ale on derby day for the famous Scot Bill Shankly who joined Liverpool on this day in 1959 and brought them up before leading them to the many titles that cemented his legacy and the club’s storied history. Smooth sweet malty and light.

Cold Dirty Bastard and a touchdowwwwnnn…and XP going to the house the other way. Plucked this 2018 vintage Old DB from the new basement cellar/cupboard, and it’s a nice late fall beer on a 70 deg day. Caramel malty goodness. Founders X Redskins FTW!

This beer smells of cereal with milk. The taste is quite different though, it has a rich malty taste with a warming and moderate peaty finish.

Bijzonder sterk en lekker aroma. Ideale foodpairing met American cookies. Zoet moutig, rozijnen, karamel en boozy in de neus met zelfs een gerookte achtergrond. Zo een Scotch Ale altijd stevig..

Drinking at the start of 2021. Sweet malt with a lot of bitterness. Review out soon
