Very sweet . Lots of chocolate , coffee and maple syrup on the nose and palate . Bourbon on the finish. Smooth mouthfeel, with just a tinge of carbonation . 11.3% alc/vol is well hidden . Warming sensation when drinking . This is a delicious beer

Possibly reaching peak age. Nose is off. Still tasting sweet, chocolate, hints of coffee.

Very well rounded. Maple mid sip. Chocolate and coffee finish. There's a bourbon presence throughout, but is in the background. (shhh ... I found a secret stash of CBS)

USMNT trying to retain the Nations League! Amazed that this CBS still has some coffee and maple syrup to it... Sad it might be the last CBS I ever sip 🪦☠️

This is getting worse as it ages. A subtle sourness is slowly replacing the maple. The bitter coffee notes are getting more astringent. It’s slowly turning into a black cherry flavored cough medicine I fear.

Just so good. To my palate the 2-3 years have given this brew the perfect balance of richness and roastiness from the barrel/cocoa. Little maple notes left but what remains is almost a baking spice note. It's not syrupy either, just right. Long finish.

Found this hiding in the beer fridge. It is long out of production but ages quite well for to the high ABV. This stout pushes chocolate coffee, maple and the warmth of bourbon flavors.
