Chocolate coffee nose, chocolate with a hint of maple with smooth malt and then he coffee kicks in and lingers with the bitterness staying around. This is right at the end of its time if you want the maple to be present.

Bottled 9.25.19. Seeing a lot of comments about being boozy. Not getting that at all. Seems very well balanced. Maple, coffee, chocolate. Really nice. I guess forgetting about this one in the back of my fridge worked out well

In memory of Simon S. I’ll quote a song for this one; (obviously the canadian) L. Cohen - You want it darker. It won’t be much darker than this, or better. Beautiful beer, beautiful song.

Sticky but not sickly. Sweet, smooth, roasty. A great beer to toast the end of an era.

Way less sweet than previous years. The keg aged for a year which probably helps. Still not KBS, but my fav vintage so far if this is to be their last

First beer back at the bottle shop in some time. This is still tasty after aging for a year.

Boozy smell, but the booze is hidden in the taste. You get a touch of dark chocolate bitterness, but it goes away. More of a maple aftertaste. Very well done. Soft 4.5.

What a surprise that I had 1 12oz left, bottled 10.04.19, maple died off a bit leaving a smooth dark coffee and chocolate flavor.
