Curmudgeon’s Better Half (2018)

Old Ale

What tames an old ale like Curmudgeon? The tender embrace of oak and sweet maple, that’s what. The result is Curmudgeon’s Better Half, a harmonious matrimony of our deceptively smooth old ale brewed with molasses and time spent aging in bourbon barrels that have previously held maple syrup. Because all counterparts should be sweet, rich and utterly delicious.

It’s totally mellowed out; not such the heavy weight it once had been.

3 years old and this old ale is aging so well! Boozy, lots of maple and molasses. Founders absolutely needs to bring back Old Curmudgeon!

Whoa, this beer needs to be on heavy rotation. Unbelievable in all aspects. The bourbon shines. Nose is all booze and oak. Not picking up too much maple but that's probably because I don't care, this thing is amazing.

Let’s go Canes! This has aged really well...it is my last one and I think this is the last year they made it! Kinda wish I had saved it a little longer...
