Found this treasure buried in the back of the beer fridge. It’s had some time to mellow and mature, and my what a beer it has become. The nose is sweet caramel and maple. The taste is bready, malty, almost French toast. The bourbon is only warmth. Wow.

Awesome! Thanks, Ryan B. Molasses & maple nose, warming, maple & bourbon notes, bottle foams over upon opening (drinking at room temperature), somewhat sweet, medium body, sticky on the lips.

Mooie Amber van kleur en een boozy geur, klein zoetje. De smaak is lekker krachtig en vol van smaak. 🥃🍻 Top ik hoop hier meer van te drinken.

lots of maple and bourbon, some oak, raisins, hint of booze, it's mellowed but I might age my last bottle for a couple more years

Mostly just a bourbon barreled old ale at this point, not much (if any) maple to it. With these home-baked Spunkmeyers though, *way* better than milk.

Four years old and just totally effin' delicious! An old ale brewed with molasses and aged in bourbon barrels that once held maple syrup. 12.7% of a great aged brew IMO.

The Brewmaster at founders brewing Company must be extremely proud of this. I enjoyed this freshly bottled and I’m enjoying it after four years bottle aged in the cellar.
