Medium (orangeish) amber w/off-white foam, aroma of toasty bready malt & floral hops. Palate brings lightly caramelly malt first, then bready malt w/crust, then crisp & lightly bitter floral hops. Sam Adams-ish, w/more hops.

On tap at Chappy’s. It’s now August 21, so I think festbiers are considered in season…let the games begin. Founders take is a solid one, balanced, subtle malt sweetness with a crisp finish. I’d say ‘Prost’ but that’s so last year’s Oktoberfest.

Very tasty. Ticks all the Oktoberfest properties. A slight bitter aftertaste

Not as good a Marzen as some. A bit hoppier than this style usually is and has some off flavors. Perhaps my experience is shaded by the bubbles rising from a spot half way up the glass, indicating that it wasn't washed very well. 😒

It’s okay, but US beers that copy the German styles rarely are able to match the taste quite right.
