Hard to believe that after 6yrs this is still so hot, 15% not hiding. This is almost barleywine like, getting some caramel and dried fruit but leaves me wanting more. Barrel presence is strong.

Had this when new but Zach the Kitten gave me an aged bottle. Had to pop it open tonight. Some age makes it drink like an old ale like Curmudgeon. Caramel notes with boozy barrel. It’s a big beer that needs sipped. Tasty!

Very lively upon opening and gushed everywhere. A murky brown color with a small tan cap of foam. Smells of raisins, dates, figs and some bourbon. The taste is very sweet and fruity with dates, figs, raisins, plums, a bit of barrel. A very dry feel.

not my style but glad i tried. syrupy from the aging in bourbon barrels...would maybe like boch better. #badphotosgoodbeer filter: “cold” 🥶

Wowzers, what a bev. Semi-soy, fig/raisin malty sweet. Got the abv to take ye home and have a good nightcap with.
