Underground Mountain Brown

Brown Ale - Imperial / Double

Underground Mountain Brown is the harmonious drinking experience only achieved when our imperial brown ale, earthy sumatra coffee and a year aging in caves below Grand Rapids comes together. A team of malts complement the bold sumatra coffee perfectly, while time spent immersed in oak creates layers of depth and complexity. A celebration of the barrel, the bean and everything in between.

A kinda weird sour kick at the end diminishes an otherwise solid bba stout.

A thick mix of molasses chocolate and coffee that produces a deep and rich malty mocha flavor with bourbon barrel age adding to its backbone.

Founders Day 2 (2020) Advent Calendar is an absolute delight. Great bourbon and the coffee is balanced perfectly in this brown ale.

Afsluiter van Beery christmas van vorig jaar zie ik! Ik vind dit ook echt top. Pure Choco met koffie. Niet te bitter, niet te zoet. Founders maakt echt mooie bierkes!!

Yesterday. Warming, dark caramel, coffee and a chocolate hint. Bourbon sneaks in along the way.

Bottled 7/29/2019. Aged pretty nicely. Bourbon is quite strong and coffee still present to give a nice balance to the heavy malt base. Rich oak notes.

Enjoyed while watching movie previews and debating if we’re in the mood for anything. Miller’s Crossing? Madness of King George? Informant!? The Man Who Invented Christmas? We’re rewatching Lincoln.

About the same alcohol content as KBS 2017 but easier to drink. Both are great beers.
