A mix of pineapple and resin in the nose. Overripe pineapple, citrus, grapefruit, somewhat zesty and a dose of sweet tones too. Crushing finish that leaves the mouth dry.

Wednesday. Brown and clear appearance. Bready and grainy opening, so.e dark burned caramel and a tad of liquorice. Tasty porter! Finished #7 of 24 so satisfied with the result👍

Sweet citrus fruits and earthy tones in the nose along with a faint yeast fart. Taste is fruity and sweet with a citrus and pine mix with earthy backdrop on fairly low on malt notes for the style. Dry and semi bitter. Pic right.

Surprisingly herbal for an NE. Both nose and taste has herbs. Taste more orange, tangerine, rather zesty and has a sharp tone. Tasty yet slightly unbalanced.

MBCC Raw Power #1 With Riwaka Olsen

Great stuff here! Riwaka nose and taste with both gooseberry and ripe tropical fruits along with a melon tone. Sweet and full tasting despite kinda lightbodied. Good sweet/dry balance.

Czech Maibock Olsen

Floral nose with some sugary tones. Sweet, grassy and floral with a sugary, toffee backdrop. Finish is dry with a small bitter cutoff. Not sure I get the czech elements here. Tasty and solid single spring bock.

Ur-Hell Olsen

Grainy and floral nose. Floral, light herbal opening on the buds, grainy and bready backbone with a soft and semi sweet follow that finishes mildly bitter. Great stuff!

Promises Kept Olsen

Spicy and dried fruit notes. Dry, spicy, raisins, sweet Finnish liquorice and a warming booze tone. Stays rather dry and spicy throughout.

World Wide Stout (2023) Olsen

Solid stuff here and thx Kathleen M. & Been R. Very roasted, almost charred with a liquorice touch and darkest bitter chocolate. Quite warming, grainy auspuff. Nice barrel tone.

Actually rather true to style Helles. This means sweetish light malts, slight grain and pretty floral overtones with a tad of citrus.

Seems everybody has this and the Hall & Oates game continues😎 A bit too hazy for the style and rather dark too. Apart from that everything else clicks into old skool Westie with pine, resin, caramel and bitterness 👍 Nice.

Moved on from colleague Friday drinks. Citrus, lime and some gooseberry blend nicely here in both nose and taste. Carbo is a bit insisting. Well balanced and solid tasting stuff.

Spring Pils Olsen

Though not completely clear, this is a superb pils with a very great malt/ sweetness/ bitterness balance! Grainy and floral with fresh hay on the side. Crisp, dry and tasty! Pic of of a bar in ancient Roman Empire.

NZ hop nose with some onion. Taste has gooseberry, green grapes, lime and pomelo up front. Dry and soft backdrop with wheat and white bread. Great stuff!

Big mix o hops here, but not off, I'd say. Tangerine and apricot foremost. Slight marmalade. Def Westie backbone. Bitter.

Neu Zealand Olsen

Revisit to this one. Love the NZ hop side. Nice bitterness yet less true pilsner. Tasty as h... nonetheless!

Just the One - Zappa Olsen

This is different! Rubber and herbal nose. Quite aggressive herb tones initially on the buds, agree with the anise hints that more say here. Peppery. Dry, bitter, spicy finish.

Diffuse Light Olsen

Quiz beer. I like this better this time. The dry tones and sharp fruit cuts hit me better this time. Silky mouthfeel.

Frank Olsen

Nose is malty with caramel and grain, yeast adds a slightly moldy hint. Taste is malt driven, bready, grainy, a toffee note and yeast is rounding stuff off. Soft texture. Very good keller👍

Really nice and well balanced TIPA. All fruit and menthol dry stuff mix well. Citrus, pomelo, oats and wheat with a touch of lime and gooseberry skin.

Cloud Gazing Olsen

Bergamot and pine nose. Dry, bitter and yeasty opening on the buds with pine, grapefruit peel and bready undertone with tads of toffee.

Larch Olsen

Malt driven and well balanced. Quite grainy nose but also some nice floral ornaments. Taste is malt driven with light caramel and bread set to an overtone of floral and grassy notes. Would add a little more color to call it Vienna style. Nice one.

Dark roast and spice undertones. Here we go with just tads of Xmas spice, like clove, anise, orange peel and cinnamon. Some dried fruits and a splash of coffee blend in as we head along.

Earlier. What we in DK call a 'guldbajer' aka Dortmunder. Grainy nose, grainy opening on the taste and quite full and rather sweet.

Syntax Serenade Olsen

Dusty opening with thick caramel and dried fruit tones. Distinct overripe banana on the buds, almost grilled banana, dried figs and caramel. Sweet to the bone, dry end. Could have more roast to really hit for me, but a fine within style Dubbel.

Hop Opera Olsen

Ripe tropical fruit marmalade all over nose and taste. Solid ripe orange backdrop, not not malt note but certainly corpo. Nice.

You Sure 'Bout That? Olsen

Ripe stone fruit and pine nose. Sweet, sticky marmalade tones, a zesty touch and pine hints. Later hints of coconut and booze. Warming afterglow. Pretty nice.

Brand new release. Tobacco and raisin nose. Sweet yet roasted and semi complex with dark dried fruits, liquorice and rhum tones. Very nice.

I could see this go with X-mas food. Spruce, grapefruit, orange peel on a wheat crackers carpet. Easy going and bitter. Could go down from a large glass😋

Mome Rath Olsen

Straight forward NEIPA. Fruity with orange, a lemon drop and pomelo. Slight pine. A distinct malty backdrop and not without bitterness.

Sweyn Forkbeard - Sherry Barrel Release 2022 Olsen

Very barrel. Vanilla and sherry tones. Dried figs, dates and sultanas. Could easily spend some more time in the barrel, I guess, to pick up some more complexity. Pic right

Caramel and bread nose with slight grass. Really easy going as should be for this style. Malt driven and dry with a low bitterness. Very nice.

Grassy nose with some yeast esters. Very smooth texture and grassy, slightly piney and low fruit tones. A slightly bitter and quite unharmonic end. This is very far from the best from Gamma...

Earlier today. Zesty, grapefruit peel and citrus. Quite dry and moderately bitter. Slightly sulphurous undertone.

Viper (2023-) Olsen

Another step in today's Bad Seed frenzy😅 Pine and slight bergamot nose. Piney taste, slight resin, some herbal hints and a light toffee tone. Modern West Coast means less caramel and ripe fruit, but still a distinct bitter cutoff.

Sabretooth Olsen

Even more brand new! Really fresh, tropical powerhouse with piña colada tones, tangerine peel, underripe melon and a slight 🔥. Dangerously easy drinking.

Get Rythm Olsen

Brand new Bad Seed here! Gooseberry and pomelo opening. Fresh cut lawn blend in later. Dry, zesty and refreshing. Nice one!

Wood Butcher Olsen

Burnt caramel, a tone of raost and grass hop notes in the nose, that also pulls onto the taste buds. Quite some chocolate and corpo too. Dry, roasted aftertaste.

SPF 30 Olsen

Well, there are some sun oil tendencies here. Coconut, varnish, pineapple and some bitterness. Menthol, grapefruit zest hints too.

Yesterday. What an aromatic nose with melon and guava. Taste is more subtle with bready and dry expression. Some tropical overtones too. Very nice PA clocking in at a mere 4 % ABV. Pic left.

Pomelo nose. Fleshy pomelo, underripe mango and pine mix on the buds here. Dry layout, still fleshy and oily. Bitter and dry cut.

Desert Delirium Olsen

Melon and grapefruit nose. Quite dry display with grassy tones and less tropical notes than nose could indicate. Rather bitter finish.

Lean In Olsen

Upon opening very sulphurous and sadly that stays put all the way... Pulpy grapefruit, slight acidity, tea leaves. Quite dry.

Murmuration Olsen

Tropical opening with menthol inlays in the nose. Sweetish malty and tropical taste. A bit aggressive finish with a bunch of grass.

Nucleogenesis Olsen

Menthol and grapefruit aromas. Dry textures, though slight marmalade with orange, apricot and grapefruit. Oat and wheat backdrop. Dry throughout. Some bitterness to the finish.

Projectile Olsen

Menthol and citrus nose. Dry opening, citrus, some grapefruit, light crackers and a tad of berries. Stays quite dry and crisp and packs a medium bitter finish.

Czech 11° Olsen

Floral, grassy nose. Proper Czech yeast notes, bready, grassy and a nice bitter finish. Regarding style Ebeltoft really hit the spot here. A Czech would approve, I'm sure👍 Hladinka pour.

Chopped Up Olsen

Very fresh, or last of a keg. Burn, really hopped up with almost sharp tones of pomelo, underripe mango, orange zest and menthol. Quite dry, rather rich texture.

Drinker Thinker Olsen

Earthy, zesty and refreshing piece. Here we go with citrus, lime, grapefruit mix and a wheaty, oaty backdrop. Dry finish and nice in the mostly sunny afternoon here.

Kope-Niu Olsen

Coffee and coconut nose. Taste is roasted, distinct coffee notes and a soft underbelly of coconut and dark chocolate. Aftertaste is roast roast coffee and darkest of bitter chocolates.

Snake Belly Olsen

Sweetish nose yet also pine notes. Taste has a sweet backdrop with candied apples, cane sugar and a piney, ripe fruity overtone with grass and a grassy, bitter finish.

Opstrammer Olsen

Dark roast, some booze yet also a sweet backdrop with Finnish liquorice and burnt cane sugar. I get a hint of lactose but that might be cheating me after all. Kinda no complexity impy here which is rare... Seems I'm the first rater on this.

Tid Og Sted Olsen

Dark and slightly burnt caramel. Some nutty notes. Dry feel, kinda bitter. Lacks sweetness to be a true Märzen.

As dry and bitter as the brewery name... Sadly not much of the NZ hop aromas come through very well. Grapefruit, crackers and pine needles.

Distinct smoke nose. Well integrated with malty, bready tones. Nice high drinkability yet without the soft, rich texture and sweet/smoke balance of the Bamberg ones. Nice, well made smoked beer.

Single Hop Series APA Citra Olsen

Decent enough pale ale yet nothing new here. Really dry. Bready, citrussy and bitter.

Coco Fresco Olsen

Recommended by today's bartender👍 Good one. Nose has pineapple and coconut. Taste is ripe tropical fruits, balanced off by orange peel and coconut stays in the back, like mellow Sabro. Nice soft close. A bit sweet but kept in control.

Bridging the Gap Olsen

2nd run at this one. I stick with words and rating from last time. A cloudy day, very windy, but also hot. I needed a beer after cat-sitting this little terrorist 😻

A rare Cascade single hop. Once this hop was all over the place. Dry, slightly bitter, herbal and citrussy with a bready backdrop.

Hoppy nose with some tangerine and citrus tones. Taste is slightly roasted with a tad of liquorice and otherwise fruity and hoppy with orange tones. Dry and moderately bitter.

Earlier. Soft and smooth IPA. Not much new, really but a nice load of fruit tones and a pleasant yet slightly thick drinkability.
