A little earlier. A soft, quite dry NEIPA with white wine and grapefruit along with a soft wheaty backdrop. Well mixed and pleasing.

Nice n' crisp pilsner. White wine and bitterness. Lemon drops on the side.

Apricot marmalade nose. Taste is sweet and ripe fruity with both apricot, peach and pine. Dry, some bitterness and lasting aftertaste with a rich texture. No crusher yet very nice.

Pizza and beer😋 Quite old skool with solid pine kicks and bergamot notes along with some tropical fruits and bread. Semi bitter and really nice.
Kinda been waiting to have this without having a cold😅 Melon and grapefruit nose. Taste has melon notes along with grapefruit, gooseberry and elderflower hints. Quite dry with some bitterness. A crusher👍
about 2 years ago
Citrussy in all aspects. Dry and crispy, lightbodied texture with quite a bitter touch to it. Too bitter to be NE, I'd say yet very drinkable and goes well with the afternoon heat today. A little sharp.
Dry, slightly bitter. Nose has underripe tropical fruits and grapefruit. Taste is more bready than really fruity. Very session.

LCI from Saturday. Remember this as smooth and rich. Complex.
A lot of soft stuff going on here. Vanilla, Bourbon, soft texture and kinda low complexity. This is pleasant and therefore really nice,!
More than decent impy. Very old school British styled impy. Slight liquorice, roast, nutty, some sweet tones, slight alc note, dark chocolate. Therefore complex enough yet very easy going.
Distinct cherry nose. Cherries, cherries and a sourish tone that never turns acidic. Dry, refreshing and well balanced.
Old skool IPA here. Piney nose. Pine to the fore on the buds along with orange peel and grapefruit. Pithy, bitter and quite fruity with bready backdrop.
Ai! So easy going that it doesn't feel like a DIPA. Pineapple juice, citrus, a little melon. Dry finish.
Distinct hoppy nose with citrus and orange peel. Taste has roast, and is pretty dry with a faint liquorice note and orange peel galore. Bitter, dry and rather quaffable.
Distinct coffee and lactose nose. Taste has that Vietnamese coffee taste, some warming booze notes, but tamed by all the roasted malts. Soft and pleasing texture all the way. Solid work by Fredrik here👍
about 2 years ago
Menthol nose. Fresh, dry and citrussy foremost + underripe mango notes. Solid amount of taste notes at this ABV. Good stuff!
Nose has rubber band and pineapple. Taste shows pineapple, ripe yellow apple, pine needle and slight althea. Dry, not really bitter. Nice and easy drinking but no high roller.

LCI from monday's quiz. Ended 4th👍 Dry, caramel, light and easy going no nonsense beer. Very nice! Maybe a little too bitter.
This is the one I went for before. Apricot and menthol oriented DIPA that packs some bitterness and sits in the hybrid area. Well balanced malt tones and hop tones. Slight orange peel, pine and bread. Nice going, Fredrik.
Actually bought this by mistake, but surely won't regret (maybe the ABV at this hour😅). Down under styled green grapes and gooseberry aromas and taste notes. All that delight wrapped in a soft, fairly sweet and wheaty package. No REAL bitterness 😉

Yesterday. Old skool hip hop in the ears and old skool IPA on the buds. Solid caramel, fruity sweetness along with pine and a nice bitter punch. Very nice.
Dusty nose. Taste is bready, citrussy and grassy and that dusty thing comes around again. Earthy and rather bitter with a small, dry corpo.
Yesterday quiz beer. Kinda fragmented expression. Orange juice and citrus on one side, packed with oatmeal on another and a cutting bitter finish. Too bitter for the style...

Julie kinda said it. I add some oats. Nuff said. Rather nice for a SIPA👍
over 2 years ago
Earlier today. A very malt driven and classic styled brown ale. Caramel, some roast, a nutty note and a lasting malty aftertaste. Great one!
Canned in September, so might be faded in a way. Orange peel, soft and smooth with a note of red apple and melon.
Tropical nose. Less so taste at first. More malty than predicted, dry and rather floral along with later notes of passion fruit and melon. Really fine.
It seems I've had this several times😅 Always worth sipping through. And at a reasonable ABV too...
A very nice revisit. Quite oat driven at first. Later more tropical stuff takes over, but balance is the thing here, and this one seems really fresh.
Ash nose. Oat driven base, almost too evident IMO. Fruity overtones of ripe citrus, grapefruit and more in that line. Dry, grape skin, bitter/burn. Finish is not elegant...
Great soft and smooth dark bock kinda type beer. Complex with burnt caramel and a tad of liquorice. A very small smoke hint that could be bigger.

I'm not Santa, and this is not so xmas in the end of the day.

Damn nice true to style pilsner. Lightly herbal and grassy with a green apple undertone. Crushable and dry.
Earlier today. Some roast, still lightbodied, more German schwarz than CZ dark IMO.

Another win from Peders💪😉 Hoppy opening. Crispy and dry throughout with elderflower, citrus and pink apple notes. Medium bitter finish with lasting notes of orange peel in it's tail. Tasty!

A win from Peders charity bingo before xmas. Crispy opening with citrus overtones that stay along through a mild bready backdrop.

Classic Simcoe display with both tropical and pine notes. Grapefruit, pineapple and tads of passion fruit. Sweetish almost small marmalade notes. Dry cut to the end.

Grassy and light grainy nose. Bready opening with caramel undertone. Dry and crispy feel. Matched well with honey glazed chicken in sesame tempura.

Salmon tartare w avocado/wasabi paste. Sulphurous nose. Dry, crisp, sweetish with lemon notes. Balances the salmon with bready sweet notes.

Yesterday quiz beer. Kinda hybrid styled with fruity overtones of citrus and apple. Oat driven backdrop and some bitter tones.

Gift from colleague, Hans Martin😊 Complex nose with vanilla, dark chocolate, coffee and cinnamon. Taste shows much of the same with an alcoholic overtone. Corpo is a bit thin.
Earlier today. A crispy, juicy and citrussy NEIPA with grapefruit tones and a high drinkability, really crushable and seems really fresh. Sadly no pic.
Roasted with undertones of blackcurrant and forest fruits. Dry, medium bitterness and quite grassy, mild citrussy finish leaving some dark caramel hints behind.
Lactose driven smooth stout. Solid enough. Some roast and chocolate.

Quiz night beer #1. Nice and lightbodied pale ale. Grapefruit on a carpet of crackers and wheat bread. Balanced bitterness.
Sweet, fruity and oatmeal driven backbone. Tasty enough but also one of many soft NEIPA's out there.
Bitter and piney. Grapefruit and biscuit. Later more resinous. Nice bitter IPA.
Prize from Peders bingo. PapaV said it here. Solid West Coast. Piney, citrussy and easy going with it's slim malty backbone and quite dry outline.
Grain, grass and pine in the nose. Sweet opening, some tropical inlays, pine and grain come along and a dry, sweetish bready backdrop. Finish leaves the sweetness around yet takes a bitter turn. Nice West Coast DIPA by Fredrik!

Yesterday. Last hard-hitter of last night. Lovely nose with dried fruits, roast and vanilla hints. Taste is rich, dense and lasting with roast, very dark chocolate, dried fruit and tads of liquorice. Super smooth and soft texture. Great!
Pic left. Fruity and sweet opening with berries and sultanas. Quite boozy, so why hit the last 4%, Fredrik? Less could have done it. Good though.

Destinct coffee stout. Sweet and lasting with heavy chunks of coffee. Corpo lets me down a bit but taste is definately lasting. Too sweet in the end for me.

Mirrored - BRU-1 / Citra Olsen
Seems really fresh. Clearly oat driven corpo. Citrus and pineapple, melon and a dry cut despite a high sweetness.

Bingo beer #1 Piney foremost, no resin really. Bitter, dry and bready backbone. Could use more toffee or caramel, I'd say
over 2 years ago
Bitter! Dry and wheaty backbone. Piney with grapefruit and orange peel notes. Hop oil in the afterburn.
Seasonal spices in nose and taste. Orange peel and cinnamon. Luckily never oversteer since the malty corpo is in place here. Well made. Almond mazarin cake on the side.

Quite new West Coast piece from Fredrik here. Nice crispy character, pine, some soft toffee notes and an easy going texture. Yeast farts👍

Sweet and mellow opener at Jyllinge Ølfestival. Hefeweizen? Nah, not really. Elderflower undertone.

A true into style porter with chocolate, a liquorice hint and molasses touch. Soft and smooth.
Sweet and get the plum thing. Soft and rounded. Quite pleasing in the end, but I didn't have much to be fair.

Personally I have no relation to GoT, but this beer is wicked! Deep bourbon opening in nose and taste. Great balance and surprisingly easy drinking at this ABV level. Tobacco and dark chocolate all over. Might close my eyes a bit on the way to Oslo😅
over 2 years ago
West Coast display with a more malty undertone. Bitter and toffee notes. Pine, surely.
Roasted nose. Roasted taste. Some chocolate, tads of liquorice and lactose. Smooth texture and kinda no nonsense milk stout but also anonymous.

Stolen Fruit, Blue Berries Olsen
Nice looks yet not a whole lotta taste, I'd say. The style is mellow, not too sour and that's spot on here. Would expect more blueberry in the end.
Pineapple and oatmeal nose. Taste is fruity and juicy with oat backdrop. Dry and actually quite bitter and dry finish. A very easy drinking IPA.
One of the most oat driven IPA's I've had so far! Nose and initial taste is oatmeal with subtle hop backdrop. Hops deliver melon, pineapple and sweet tangerine. Hmm..? Too oat driven...
Perfumed sweet nose with pineapple and flower. Taste is sweet foremost, very fruity expression with a ripe tropical overlay. Dry, not bitter yet nicely balanced in the end.
Definately old skool and more malty with a nice caramel undertone. Nose is slightly yeasty, piney and fruity. Taste has grapefruit peel, citrus and resin along with the malt notes. No real easy drinker though.

Bad Seed Trickle Down Depravity Olsen
Worth another go for sure. And that cool name!😋
over 2 years ago
A nice go at the classic Bamberg style rauch, that barely hits it right on. Smoked and malty with caramel and sweet bread inlays. A crispy cut towards the finish, but lacks the elegance of the best Bamberg beers.
Very pleasing brew and very sweet. Malt driven as few. Caramel and bread all over. Lightly floral.
Menthol, tangerine and yellow apples along with pine and slight resin mix into an easy drinking package. Kinda old skool yet not really bitter. High drinkability that would be loved by me on a hot day.

Recommended by Leigh. Canned this Wednesday, so really fresh. It is! Melon, mango, yellow apple and pounds of oats. Slight farts. Quite soft yet some 🔥. A grassy touch and a bitter and dry end.

Ripe orange notes and a distinct oat driven corpo. Sweet and soft with tropical overlay and small bitterness. Thick corpo and declining drinkability as it picks up temperature.

Sweet chewing gum nose and in taste at first. Some apple notes and honey hints and stays sweet throughout with small tart dips.

Coffee nose. A dry roasted coffee stout. Somewhat easy going with a distinct coffee touch. Also underlying notes of dark chocolate and dried fruit hints.

Yesterday's quiz beer #2. Overripe orange and some marmalade in the opening. Malt displays wheat, oat tones and crackers. Fairly bitter finish.

Surprisingly rich PA with overripe orange and peach. Solid underbelly of oats. Nice taste, nice fruit tones yet not so overly easy going.

Yesterday. Nose has hemp and grapefruit. Soft and fruity opening with grapefruit, citrus and mango that later picks up some 🔥 and a sharp cutoff. Rather nice one.

Hybrid kinda IPA. Quite bitter and stays rather bitter and slim throughout. Easy drinking and well balanced. I find this somewhat two-dimensional in the end though. Still nice.

K:rlek Spring/Summer (2022) Olsen
This is a spring/summer lightbodied easy drinking thing. Haze, citrus and grapefruit in a sweet wrapping of oats. Went down easily with our African food earlier today.

Complex nose with sweet liquorice, candied and dried fruits and roast. Sweet and boozy with liquorice, roast and molasses. Finish gets rather bitter at first but as warmth catch up it levels out more. Slightly demanding but nice.
