THIS is a porter! Not too roasted and sharp, but really soft, buttery and pleasant with bitter, chocolate and some nutty notes. Damn soft and therefore dangerous with an ABV at 7.9.

Pic right. Fruity, oats and soft feel. Easy going fella. Citrus, peach, a little apricot. 3 weeks of holiday ahead😎🍻
almost 3 years ago
Hmm..? Normally I wouldn't call this a saison. Farmhouse maybe? Too sour and less estery without the phenols that I'd expect. The plums blend in nicely. It's a well balanced sour. Well..?
Crispy, fresh and very easy drinking. Here's a beer you can keep pouring in the sun👍 More bitter than the style would normally dictate, but all the other deeds kept intact. Nice!

The West Coast Is the Best Cost Olsen
Decent enough. Toffee and pine is there, but I could use more resin and bitterness. Soft and rather tasty. I could easily throw one more down😉

Bad Seed Trickle Down Depravity Olsen
Pic shows two islands in the same lake. One killed by bird poop😅 The beer? Green grapes, gooseberry, grapefruit and some oat features in the back. Soft and pleasing texture and nice in the sun.
Earlier. This is a nice classic English/American IPA. Bready, toffee, slight pine, floral and sweet backdrop.
🇺🇦 Support beer. Slight menthol, citrus, pomelo, hint of apple. Backdrop is fizzy with white bread. Almost no bitterness yet quite dry.
Lightbodied and roasted with coffee and liquorice hints. True to style until a too aggressive bitterness kicks in.
Melon and oats aromas. Oat driven backdrop set to quite a fruity display of melon, pomelo and finishes rather harsh bitter and dry. The cutoff is too much in the end, but a fine taste and texture.
Sweet and pleasing TIPA, event though I can't grasp the style. Sweet, red apple flesh, flowers and a great balance.
A sharper NEIPA. More grassy, more grapefruit and more bitterness. Dry cuts blend with an overtone of menthol and fresh cut tropical fruits.
Versus: West of the Moon Olsen
Piney and fruity. Bitter, dry and very drinkable with pine, citrus and grapefruit on top.
Clearly fruit infused. Get mostly peach and mango. Taste is slightly sour, predominantly fruity and somewhat sweet. Not really my style but easy drinking.
Yesterday. Celebrated our 4th place (of 5 teams🤣) in the quiz with this one. Actually I'm getting tired of pastry stouts, but this is really drinkable. Quite roasted, nutty and dark chocolate with faint vanilla notes👍
about 3 years ago
Yesterday. Free treat with the quiz that we ended in👍 Crisp and nice. Dry, hoppy and bready undertone. Solid nonsense pale ale. It lies in the name too...
Yesterday at the quiz. Solid West Coast stuff! Dry, piney, clear and a nice toffee backbone. Grassy and light tropical overtones.
Yesterday. Easy going and rather fresh with citrus tones. Sadly very thin feel to it.
Yesterday quiz beer. Menthol nose, pomelo, stone fruits and a pleasant development in the glass. Rounded yet a clear dry cutoff. Nice.
Pine, peach and toffee. Leather yeast tones with rubber band and menthol. Soft yet a demanding malt bill.
Quite nice red ale. Rather hoppy and roasted. Very easy going. Would love to try this in a nitro version. #stand with Ukraine🇺🇦

Bought a couple of new shirts and in the way home I picked up two beers😋 This is is soft and pleasing DIPA, oatmeal driven texture and base with pineapple, menthol and pomelo.
Great to meet up with "the scottish invasion"😁 Apricot and oat driven taste. Muddy look. Fruity taste. Slight pine.
Refreshing and easy drinking. Slight pine, citrus, pomelo, yellow apple notes and bready backdrop. A mildly bitter cutoff with some residual sweetness.
Earlier tonight. A very drinkable IPA, kinda old skool but not entirely with it's subtle pineapple notes in the classic base of pine, bread, slight resin and distinct dry bitterness.
Menthol and grapefruit nose. Dry opening and dry close. Grapefruit, underripe melon, pine and menthol on a base of oats and white bread.
Yesterday quiz taster😋 Quite roasted with dark bread and dry caramel. Decent.

Sweyn Forkbeard - Sherry Barrel Release Olsen
Nose is overripe apple and a little mold. Taste is sweet, mostly dried fruits, fig, date and sultanas. Warming and not too complex afterburn.
Muddy as h... and moving towards the dark end of the street. Malt base is really oat driven and is there rye in here? 🤔 Not keeping it's path straight down NEIPA Street, I'd say. Apricot and sultana with overripe red apples on top. Some bitterness too.
Earlier tonight. Kinda West Coast but not old skool. Fruity in the foreground, piney and very bitter at first. Balance comes with temperature in this one.
Sweet pineapple, peach and mango juice. Too sweet to be a real quaffer. Soft and smooth.
Maybe this is where I crossed a bridge too far?🤪 A DIPA heavy on marmalade and oatmeal. Kinda no coast, but what is it with that pounding oat thing?! Nice taste, but drinkability is kinda low here. Hmm...? Nice, but... Great head👍
over 3 years ago
More bitter than your traditional kellerbier. Lightly grainy, yeast deeds pulls through. Floral, some residual sweetness.
The Lost Art of Keeping A Secret Olsen
Six Nations Rugby SCO - FRA in the background. France is really kicking it this year... The beer is solid, good maltiness, piney, some overripe apricot, orange marmalade and a medium bitter cut into the sweetness. A sulfuruos yeast fart too.
Floral and lightly resinous nose. Taste is crisp, dry with pine, resin, caramel undertones and a floral hoppiness that lasts. Carbo is leaning to the high side, where I'd prefer less.
Swivel - Idaho 7, Simcoe & Mosaic Olsen
Nose has tropical and light grassy notes and slight old skool yeast notes. Hybrid for sure and very easy drinking which is a great quality here👍
over 3 years ago
Too roasted and too little chocolate to be a true porter? If it wasn't this smooth I'd call it stout. Charred, roasted, hints of smoke, therefore the name is rather appropriate.
Klappet Og Klar - Mosaic Olsen
Yeasty nose with sulfurous farts. Taste is the reward with solid mosaic fruity and tropical notes with an undertone of grass. Sweet backdrop and a medium bitter cut. Nice.
Earlier today. Rather tasty and actually quite some mouthfeel. Fresh and hoppy cutoff.

November Stout Cognac B.A. Olsen
Seems like quite a find. Aged, definately! Complex and almost moldy entrance to a well handled stout with dark chocolate and moderate roast. Vanilla hangs along through the last half. Great stuff!
Dark and quite roasted for even an american barley wine. As some stated here, the bitterness is kinda aggressive. Some complexity still roams.
Well, a pretty forgettable IPA. Little perfumed, rather light and dry. No coasts applied nor a lotta taste sadly.
Collab with Stigbergets. Sulfur in nose at first, along with citrus. Refreshing and citrussy kellerbier with an easy drinking cutoff.
Wasn't too impressed last time, but to be fair it's better this time, without climbing the skies. No cannabis notes yet rather yeasty and sharp with solid kicks of grapefruit. Shared with my dad. + 0.5
over 3 years ago
Soft and slightly warming with a solid fruit basket and a slight bitterness. Good Åben quality👍
over 3 years ago
Mild smoky lager styled beer. Sweet and rounded yet far from the rich, musty, smooth and well balanced rauchbiers from the masters in Bavaria. Decent.
Sweet and fairly malt driven. Some sweet apple notes and a tad of dried citrus peel and some straw notes. Slightly earthy.
Dark roast in nose and taste. It stays from being sourish roasted. All in on coffee and a smooth layout. Some dark chocolate and coconut hints sneaks in. Texture is kinda light and the ABV hides very well.
Pine, pine needles and quite yeasty. Solid bitterness. Easy drinking yet forgettable. More than decent anyway.
Tasty and aromatic SIPA with oats in the back. Citrus, grapefruit and pineapple notes.
High carbo at first, so a fragile head. Tropical with Stone fruits and very oatmeal driven base, maybe too much... Fine, but far from up there with the best Gamma beers.
Wow! What a treat! Grainy opening with dried fruits and all, good barrel notes with faint vanilla and complexity. Yes, it's sweet but also dry and roasted. Stays really drinkable throughout, and ABV is hidden. The drinkability is in the driver's seat also
over 3 years ago
After work beer, and I will stay with my previous words, but add some 0.25 to the rating due to drinkability and a true West Coast nature.
Pic right. Apricot marmalade juice, or something... Gamma footprint yeast-wise, therefore easy going despite the ABV.
Pic left. Quite roasted, acidity from the cherries added, hints of liquorice and stays rather dry. Not the most elegant brew from Gamma that has hit my taste buds.
Underground Mountain Brown Olsen
Yesterday. Warming, dark caramel, coffee and a chocolate hint. Bourbon sneaks in along the way.
Pine, orange peel and grapefruit make the show here. Very easy going and maybe a bit too lightbodied to be a real hitter.
Ahh, this is not a pleasant beer. Slightly acidic = too roasted and corpo is simply too slim.
Brand new. Soft and smooth pineapple juice with lemon drops and oats undertone. Menthol opening in the nose. Quite dry yet never bitter. Great.
Yesterday. A treat from our kind host. Aged for more than a year. Complex with oxidised character, sherry, dried fruits and molasses. Rich, soft and really good!
Pretty nice, but also very in-between-the-lot of DNEIPA's. Quite oat driven with mellow tropical notes. As PapaV stated: forgettable, but certainly worth while.
"Fyraftensbajer" after a cold day on the streets of Ølsted and Frederiksværk, inspecting garbage handling. Smooth and very easy drinking yet forgettable IPA. I like the hop profile, the texture less, but it did the job👍
over 3 years ago
Dangerously easy drinking. Not really that fruity, but fruit notes are there along with bready and slightly warming alcohol. Texture is very soft and yeast certainly pulls through. More than decent.
Aside the dark chocolate the nose has a little complexity. Taste displays dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee and dried dark fruits. Slightly warming yet medium textured. Very pleasant.
Dark barley wine that is not too complex. Dried fruit with quite some hoppy ornament. Vanilla and pine needle. Really hoppy the Am. B W way. Easy drinking despite the ABV.
Juicy and fruity and all, but the moving towards astringent bitter twist in the end disturbs me. Citrus, grapefruit and hints of pineapple deliver the fruit parts.
Dry and medium bitter expression, somewhat light textured with aromas and taste of citrus, light bread and grass.
Rubber band nose. Good texture considering the ABV. Notes of less ripe tropical fruits and oats.
This one is very interesting but sits between the chairs. Quite fruity yet dark and roasted. Molasses, dried fig, hints of liquorice. Very soft and warming.
Please kick these oat notes out of my West Coast IPA! Almost clear, piney, light caramel, yes. But sweetness and oats doesn't do it for me here😬
over 3 years ago
Grapefruit and oats steal the picture here. Solid enough NEIPA that places itself in the wide middle field of the style. Fair one, tasty. Maybe leaning too much on the oats.
Slight diacetyl in the nose at first, but this doesn't ruin the picture, as the beer stays rather caramel driven throughout. Dry and moderately sweet.
Surely you would not expect a 3 ABV beer to thick and heavy, right? Actually this has some texture and displays citrus, grapefruit and a little melon. Carbo stays in control, so we don't turn too light.
Geek revisited. I stay with my rating but add a few notes of peppers and big malt backdrop of oats and wheat. This one seems rather fresh👍
over 3 years ago
ABV is up there, but maybe not quite as the hand sanitizer😉 Coffee driven with chocolate on the side. Coffee tends to steal the picture creating a little texture dropout. Bourbon only sneaks through with temperature.
Creamy, fruity and dry NEIPA. Some coconut hints along with pineapple. Dry yet moderately sweet.
At first this seemed rather boozy, but temperature allows all the fruity hop aromas and yeast notes to pull through nicely. Tropical, menthol, warmth yet all that said I could use a more solid malt backbone. Nonetheless good.
Somewhat old skool, somewhat modern. Nose has faint fruits and malt. Taste has distinct grapefruit, grass and some biscuit notes. Solid bitter, but sits between the chairs.
You get the spicy rye notes along with the vanilla and slight smoke from the whiskey and rye. Sweet and semi complex. Deep prune, plum, raisins and roast. I could use a handful of chocolate notes.
Marzipan nose. Marzipan pulls through in taste as well with bitter dark chocolate, chestnut, raisins, old rhum and roast. Very heavy and smooth with some bitter kick in the end that cuts the sweetness down a bit.
Althea and yeast esters on the nose. Taste is sweet at first, pine, resin and some sweet fruits comes along. Bitterness is medium and kicks in without turbo boost. Barking well up the old skool way. Very nice.
Brand new and really fresh - maybe too fresh. 🔥 in the foreground with citrus and grapefruit. Oat covers the back. All in all dry and easy drinking.
Light as the name indicates. Dark chocolate and mint notes. Rather dry and less sweet.
Gamma signature yeast and malts. No immediate sense of ABV and a good fruit salad hopwise.
12 days old said the bartender. I believe, since it seems really fresh and easy going yet with some ABV warmth sneaking in. Pineapple and pine needle, underripe mango and papaya. Malt underlayer. Dry cut.
Nose has maple and bourbon. Taste has roast, dark chocolate, coffee and bourbon notes with maple on top. Texture is really soft and mouthcoating leaving a long complex aftertaste. Great porter that is a true porter.
Yesterday. The company was far better than this beer presented itself. Oat and skunk nose, thin texture and rather bitter with some 🔥. Almost no fruit notes. Not a true NEIPA.
Sweet tropical apricot marmalade stuff. Oats backbone clearly. ABV is very well hidden.
Sweet marmalade and a cutoff with menthol. Pineapple, apricot and silent peach. Solid oat backdrop. Smooth texture.
Negotiating Human Structures Olsen
Fruity and way more than decent IPA. Citra driven with our classic Gamma solid yeast and malt backdrop.
The fact that this holds only 4,5 ABV makes this a fine small IPA. Actually a good oaty juice, some grapefruit and fresh cut grass along with apricot. Dry and short finish hence the ABV.
Another go at this oldie in terms of DK NEIPA's. Citrussy and dry. Carbo is a bit too high for me to be a real big fan. Nice refreshing taste.
West Coast nature - no doubt. Resinous more than piney and fruity. Malt driven apart from the bitterness. Malt profile is also the downside here IMO = drinkability is lowered due to a heavy expression.
Quite classic IPA with grassy and floral notes and a somewhat dusty malt profile. Easy drinking and within style though nothing to write home about.
Small nose of citrus and menthol. Taste has lots of power considering the ABV. Grapefruit, citrus, passion fruit, light bread and a solid bitter twist. Finish is dry, floral and really cleans the table. Really nice!
