It is cold and dark outside, so I am bringing out the stouts. Massive chocolate and bourbon barrel. Slightly dry and dusty on the palate.

Rather thin and dry for a ba stout. Also a hint of acidity or bitterness. Kinda disappointing relative to Founders’ standards. Still earns a 4.25

Boozy AF, but still plenty of resemblance to a non-BA stout. More chocolate than coffee, which might be creeping into pepper territory.

This is a lovely stout, I imagine this would be an easy choice for a go-to beer if you won the lotto. Good aroma, nice initial flavours with then a bit of a kick, very hard beer not to like. Great drop for the dying days of the calendar, thanks Mike 👍

Excellent malty, coffee, chocolaty stout with slight charred aftertaste. Might improve with some aging

Old trusty stout, with chocolate. Easy to drink, alcohol doesn't come through and barrel effect is in balance

Released from the back of the beer fridge. Bottled on 27 Feb 19, the nearly two years age mellowed the bourbon-barrel taste and amplified the chocolate-coffee! Aged perfectly, this stuff is delicious!
