This year seems to age very well. I prefer KBS fresh but this one doesn’t disappoint 2 years later.

Excellent barrel aged stout. An nice level of coffee and chocolate that doesn’t overwhelm you, but instead tastes great. Thank you to Joes Beverage in Romeoville.

This beer was undoubtedly a course correction from the ‘18, even as both this beer and that beer were completely unnecessary course corrections. Still, the body is a bit fuller, and the coffee hangs around nicely from sip to swallow.

Bourbon still muted in this '19 in my opinion. It's there but let's the adjuncts play, which makes for great balance.

19-3-11 vtg, 2yr 1mo o. Bitter, smoked wood character dominates. Notes of vanilla and hints of coffee. Still seems pretty hot, surprisingly.

After it warmed up a bit the coffee mellowed a bit and the chocolate came out.
