3rd time having this one. This time it was after CBS 2019 and Maple Mackinac Fudge. It had strong espresso coffee notes, but it was pretty one dimensional in comparison with MMF. 4.15

I skipped my morning coffee today. The espresso flavor is so bold and rich that two sips in and my body was like "time for the morning poo!" Very coffee forward. Chocolate takes a backseat. Founders does it again!

Doesn't hit quite like back in the day; but, still delicious.

Looks of coffee & chocolate. Bourbon is there but not dominant. Excellent dessert beer

Pitch black pour, one finger tan head, little retention, some lacing. Aromas of espresso and chocolate, hint of oak. Flavors of chocolate, espresso, hints of molasses and vanilla, some bourbon and earthy oak on the finish.

As you would guess, very coffee forward and kind of dry actually. Not too sweet, a little chocolatey and boozy

Remember chasing the base version back in the day:) Good to see it so much more readily available and love that they’ve been adding some variants.
