Another year of the beautifully done variant and it is oh so silky smooth. This is a must try variant of the infamous and at one point elusive KBS.

Very dark brown with a tiny brown head. Malty and coffee tones with a nice bitter/malty finish.

SUPER bitter espresso up front with a boozy, leather and cocoa powder finish Thinner than I remember KBS.

This just didn’t have anything going for it. I’ve had too many other good BA beers this year. This doesn’t come close.

Cellared for 5 months. Definite improvement of an already scrumdiddlyumptious brew! Yum!!

Amazingly balanced ba stout, a bit more coffee would get the extra qtr star

Darn good brew as to be expected with a KBS. Smooth, full body with loads of coffee. Still rather hot though, it would do well with some time on it. Oh darn guess I’ll have to hang on to the others.
