The bourbon notes come through hard and immediately! The charred oak comes through very quickly also. It has a much lighter body than I expected, or prefer. Good overall, but didn't expect such hard bourbon coming in.

Last beer of the night. A bit of a syrupy smell, but mostly tastes of vanilla and oak. Pairing it with a chocolate coffee cupcake & it tastes a bit bitter, but is still good.

Been a minute since I had kbs. Has this distinct sweetness (?) that I have yet to find in any other barrel aged stout.

Indeed a big stout. It starts with the coffee with a hint of vanilla then the cocoa, the BA and the return of the coffee. Beautiful and complex, a little feast.

This is some really great beer. Enjoying this one real slow. Slow and easy. Thanks Dave H. I’m going to continue to look for this.

Coffee heavy on nose. Some abv kick. Bourbon style sweetness. Very nice. Young malts.
