Catching up on check-ins. Surprisingly not too sweet and pretty balanced.

Strong coffee notes on the nose and palate. Subdued maple and chocolate. Better than I expected. Well done Founders.

Thinner mouthfeel than I expected. Lots of fudge , maple and nuts in this easy drinking stout. Be careful - still a high abv sleeper.

Cocoa on nose. Creamy espresso crema head. Medium body, a little oily and mouth-coating. Notes of cocoa, chocolate malt, coffee, vanilla. Not picking up the oak on this one, and just the slighest touch of bourbon. Not my fave KBS variant, but good.

Aroma is dominated by chocolate. Chocolate and maple flavor. Not much barrel. Pretty good.

Not a huge fan of lactose but this beer is super tasty. Slight coffee profile. Very chocolate. Some vanilla. Subtle but high ABV so be careful!!

Very sweet with nice barrel aging. Would be great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Fudge for days, but the barrels and especially the maple, are mostly a rumor.

A spicy fudge coffee. More coffee bitterness than expected. A subtle sweetness is way in the background. Bottled 10/27/20. Curious to see how it ages and flavors meld. Still has the oak aged feel. Flavors still abrupt and needs aging.
