Big dark chocolate right up front. Coffee is in there plus classic roastiness. Smooth, creamy, and just a bit boozy though very well controlled for 11%.

A little visit to an old family friend, Founders. Fudgy brownie batter flavored coffee forward. Coffee and chocolate really come out. Pretty light on the barrel aging which is a little disappointing to me. Still solid, great evening dessert/sipper.

Can there be too much flavor going on in a stout? Rich, chocolate, coffee. I’m working to taste the maple but it must be there.
