Found 8 bottles in the basement beer vault. Still a great taste, considering this is a 2017 vintage. This beer ages well.

This is such a great vintage of one of the best BA brews out there. Big blend of woodsy malt and whisky. Vanilla nutmeg. A little boozy but do special.

Drinkable 5 years later. Barrel flavors have evaporated. Roasted sweet malt is very caramelly

Its very smooth. Slightly boozy. Aging left it kind of watery ending.

Still good but lost a lot with aging... Will be polishing off the rest in January!

6 yrs old. I have yet to find a maximum age on this beer. Amazing barrel and caramel notes on this one a true treat while making marmalade with 24lbs of oranges from my tree.

Had the Trifecta tonight. Backwoods Bastard from 2015, 2016 & 2017. All 3 tasted as if they were bottled last summer. Thank you, Founders. Often imitated but never duplicated.
