Good flavor, though not as strong as expected. Sweet with a touch of bitter. Not as thick as most Imperial Russian Stouts.

So a negative that isn't necessarily about the beer.. Picked the bottle up, popped the top and it proceeded to spew everywhere. Hubby was not amused.

I was excited about this one, and it saddened me. Poured great, looked great, tasted... Not great. Sour finish. Definitely not what I expected. Disappointed.

I bypassed a third 4pk of Maple Mackinac for this. It's gorgeous.

Solid as fuck. Great barrel presence complimented by a moderately thick and tasty brew. Light smoke and a bitter lasting finish.
