01/06/2016. Still a complex okay ale with a touch of molasses. Still has a hop tingle on the tongue. Drinking well.

Bottled on 12/30/2016. Going on 7 years. Remarkably smooth, still has oak, lots of molasses, tree sap, caramel, raisins. Silky and all hop bitterness is smoothed out. Has an orange-pine nut note. Has held up well. Is it better fresh? Fresh is intenser.

Looked around for a bit seemed like the right time been a while. This has fallen off some but still a decent sipper.

Not much to compare too as this 5 yr aged Old Ale is my first go round with the Curmudgeon. Wish I snagged enough to try at the 1 & 2 yr marks. Bitterness still lingers even with malt on the main stage. A toffee figgy pudding. Thick body with mellow booze

Interesting style of beer. Molasses and oak aged Old ale. I need to drink a few to decide yay or nay. Very good for a change of flavor.

Har blivit en helt annan skapelse efter typ fem-sex år. Betydligt mjukare och följsamt lenare. Ingen av Founders bättre om ni frågar mig.

Har inte riktigt koll på hur de är färsk i minnet. Den var ok. Inte riktigt min stil på öl från början. Så klart godkänt

Ett par år efter bäst före datum men inte smakar den illa. Sötma som bonsbons och sedan kommer lite lakrits

Molasses nose. Flavors a complexity of sweet, bitter, toffee, oak. Thinner but with a fuller mouthfeel. It was better fresh but fun to drink something made in December 2026
