Reminds me of hitting Grand Rapids back in more innocent times

Sweet with some mild smoke and woody notes. Vanilla is prominent here with little bittering hops and a mild alcohol burn. Haven't had a porter in a long time. This one will make me revisit that decision.

Bottled on 2.02.21. Last night. Founder’s doesn’t really miss when it comes to dark BA beers produced at their scale. No exception here. Beautiful pour. Maple swirls. Vanilla steps to the forefront. Bourbon supports then leads. Overdone, chocolate cake.

Getting a little more maple as it warms, but the vanilla has a bit of artificial harshness and doesn’t quite cohere with the rest of the beer.

From the weekend, I am not sure on this one. Maple was subtle and almost not present. I still have 3 bottles so I will revisit soon before rating. I feel like it was definitely missing something though.

A&W Cream Soda w/brownies. Ender of a long afternoon. Least favorite of the three bottles I had, but also post Lambic, Lager, Scotch.

Maybe the last bourbon-barrel beer for a bit if the weather keeps up. Mild enough one. Maple and vanilla really smooth it out.
