It was pretty damn good for a surprise IPA. The rum barrels did a number on making this drinkable. Nowhere on the bottle did it state that it was an IPA.

This beer has mellowed. Still lots of boozy rum but the hoppy bite has mellowed.

2018 release. Boozy rum start mellowing out to a hoppy floral finish. Overall heat of this has mellowed out to be a good session beer.

Bottled on 6/4/18 - I didn't like this when it was fresh. It's much more tolerable with some age on it, however. Still quite boozey, but I no longer feel like I'm drinking sunscreen. While more tolerable, I'm still not a big fan of this.
