Bountiful notes of malt and hops in the Barleywine. Bottled 03.09.2021

Love the idea of roasted barley in a barleywine, but this recipe conflicts w huge hop doses. Maybe better blended w a few yrs age? It's trying to be everything at once, missing. Bitter finish. Interesting, not great for me.

Bracing bitterness. Hits you with a ton of rye bread malt flavor and a pale ale level of hops. Leaves you with a boozy dry grain aftertaste.

This is nice. A bitter Barleywine at 75 IBUs, but expertly softened by that massive malt bill. This is a genuine delight. For the love of all things good, let this warm up as you sit with it! The flavor changes dramatically, and it's quite a trip. Cheers.

Not a huge fan of the more hoppy barleywines, but this is a good one

Dark roasty malt mix up front. Bitter hoppy middle and a bakers chocolate finish. Smooth and covers the ABV well. Kindof a barley wine meets an ESB or Irish stout.

Thanks Dad for the taster! A bit of hop with good citrus taste.

I was pleasantly surprised only because barleywine beers are typically not my fav. I really enjoyed this though. Another fine beer from Founders!

This is two beers with competing flavors in one. Barleywine up front with its sweet malt flavors and a bitter ipa on the back end. Well made, but very strange. Especially if you want a Barleywine.

Best barleywine I had in awhile. Maybe ever but that's always debatable

Was supposed to be flight size...I think they overfilled all of them...

Malty, bitter but not over the top, darker than normal. Pretty solid
