Doesn't taste much like a barleywine but is pretty balanced and does not taste boozy for 11.2.

More of a strong ale, not a barley wine. Tastes of burnt malts, some bitter hops. Once the carbo lessons, it’s good.

It's not bad, but as a personal preference I don't like the bitter/hoppy taste on the backend of what is supposed to be a barleywine. I wonder if a couple of years of aging would mellow it? Let's find out!

Woah. That is very different. Rich & bold flavor. Thank you Daniel G. !!

Quite different, even for a barley wine. Lots of flavors going on here. Thanks for another delivery Daniel G.!

Bought a 4-pack about 2 weeks ago. Bottled 3/8/21 with an ABV of 11.2% & 75 IBU's. Darker pour that surprised me for a Barleywine. Some roasty light pine aroma. More coming out in the taste w/ some hoppiness near the finish that keeps this a lower rating.

More like a black IPA than a barleywine to me but still a great beer. I prefer more caramel & raisin flavors instead of bitterness in a barleywine

Malty, citrus, burnt hoppy flavor. Nice change of pace.

Beautiful pour. Slight evergreen on the nose. Nice rich mouth feel... and you taste bitterness. Not strong or flavored (no discernable roastiness) but the bitterness completely covers the star malt. Unfortunately an American barley wine fixated on IBU.

Second time having this. I still wish it had more malty sweetness. Overall it’s a nice barley wine after you give it time to open up.

Barley wine at 3 in the afternoon? It's like falling off a barstool...

Dangerously easy to drink with notes of chocolate with a hoppy finish.

An amber hued libation. The nose is malty w/ caramel & marshmallow coming through. The palate is a bit different. Super hoppy & roasted. It’s like an IPA blended w/ a stout. The finish is super long & bitter. It’s good but still figuring it out. Cheers!

Hoppy Barleywine? Thick, malty, sweet Barleywine with a distinct hoppy bitter bite on the finish. Needs time

Big Bodied , malty / Smokey barley wine

Flavors are all over the place in a good way. Straddles the dank, hoppy and malty profiles of a barleywine.
