Love me some barleywine-style beer. #BIL Founders Brewing Co. sure know what they are doing.

That's a pretty tasty Barleywine style with layers of flavor.

Decently balanced. It's malty but the scales are tipped slightly in favor of bitter

It’s a repeat but this time in a bottle at home. The rain has stopped finally after all these days! I’m celebrating with this Barleywine. 11.2% ABV.

More bitter than I would expect for a barley wine, but very malty and strong!

Meh. I think a barleywine is still their nemesis. Wasnt terrible, but i definitely wont be looking to have it again.

Dark pour, like a dark plum or night sky. Medium to large head. Smells of alcohol and a toasty smell. Very bitter flavor with toasted malt notes. Despite motley 75 IBU it tastes way more bitter. Warming and interesting ipa alternative.

Niet zo zoet als je van een Barley Wine gewend bent. Maar heerlijk hoppig

It's a barleywine with a hop bomb. What's not to love?

Too bitter but not bad if you like barley-wine style beers.

Unique. Imagine an extremely bitter dark chocolate bar that taste hoppy. Probably not buying anymore but it's fun for something different.

Actually kinda reminds me of a Smokey and the Bandit stout. If you know, you know.

Not as good as I might have hoped, but considerably better than I expected based on recent reviews…

Bold roasty and somewhat earthy hop presence. Way roasty almost too much. Big bold malty and bitter roast with hop presence. Needs less roasted malts. Just ok. Thanks Joe for the bottle.
