Mmmm, barleywine. Sweet, malty, roasted goodness right here.

Still disappointed with Founders regarding the allegations of racism & wrongful termination … and they sold out. A good barleywine though … roasty, malty, caramel sweet.

Mildly malty barleywine with resinous, piney bite on the back end. Smells like a barleywine, but tastes a lot like a black IPA. Definitely hoppier than most barleywine I have had.

Een prachtige barleywine die goed bitter is (75 IBU). Goede combi van Founders. #vakantie

Loads of roasted malt characteristics. Mild caramel flavors also. Medium hops bitterness on the finish. This one is definitely complex! Solid stuff from Founders.

Astronomy Aleworks bottle share. Still good. Cheers to all my nemeses!

The hops.are piney and bitter, more than you'd expect for a barley wine. Great malt, aroma, and body

Malty, sweet aroma. Malty sweetness that suddenly turns smoky and roasty, smooth, medium bodied, with a lingering piney bitterness. Dangerously delicious at 11.2% ABV!

Similar to Backwoods Bastard but I definitely prefer this. Yardwork done! 🍻

The bitterness from the hops is a bit odd for a barleywine. That, combined with lack of barrel aging that I’m accustomed to from the Barreled Souls barleywines make for an odd flavor profile.

Too drunk and I might spoiled it all. So no rate for this time.

Not normally a fan of barley wines but this was the best I’ve had. Still probably wouldn’t purchase it again. Had the maltiness of a quad and the bitterness of an IPA.
