This is a delicious Barleywine that gets better as it warms up. This would be even better if BA.

Kinda bland. Bitterness pretty much takes over everything else. Sounded good

Definitely drinks more like a hoppy stout fresh. Will be interesting to see if that changes with age.

Pours dark brown/red. Aroma reminded me of raisin and berries, which I enjoyed. Did need to warm this up a little to start getting any malt flavors. Slightly bitter. Overall lacks the intensity and complexity I think of with the style.

Pours a dark brown with a small light brown head. Malty aroma. Medium body with some oily lacing. Dark and malty with a dry bitterness. Not as dank or boozy as I expected. Long lingering hoppy bitter aftertaste. More like a black IPA than a barleywine. Ok

I had already planned on drinking this but decided to do my rear brakes first. Well that was a mistake. And a very fitting beer... barely got one side done. Also this is really tasty and the ratings seem like people don’t like hoppy barley wines.

Hoppy and thick. Not the best choice for this 80 degree day but still tasty.

New series from these guys. Roasty flavors with a surprising level of bitterness for this style. And in case you’re wondering, siempre hace sol en mi cocina.....salud

Really good, but not sure this is a great example of a barley wine. I still dig it.

First appearance a stout. On taste, an immediate sensation of bright hoppy (almost floral notes) paired by the toasty backbone in mouth feeling and flavor. At the end of the sip, typically place holder for the aftertaste of alcohol, replaced by barley

I’d pay $9.99 for a six pack of this. It’s alright but no where near as good as the original. The current price is asinine.
