Sweet citrus grapefruit like scent. The flavor starts with a sweet citrus and a hint of bourbon. The bourbon gets stronger towards the end. The grapefruit citrus flavors go really well with the sweetness of the bourbon. Both not overpowering the other.

Excellent combo of lager with old fashioned ingredients. Barrel aged with a more citrus and fruity mouthfeel.

Disappointed.....heavy abv up front but it dissipated and left nothing but some sweetness......

Tries to do too much by emulating a mixed drink. An ale with many added components.

Fruit aroma and with mild fruit taste but does not cross into being a gose, staying a beer. This does remind me somewhat of barley wine varieties had from other brewers. Good effort and different. Thanks for the try Brian!

A definite sipper, this brings the appeal of an Old Fashioned cocktail into beer form. Leading with its heavy bourbon-barrel contribution, this brew is extremely fruit-forward with (very) sweet cherry and orange predominating in both aroma and taste.

Get the barrel, but not sure if I would have figured this one out in a blind taste test. Several more to give it another go :)

What a great way to celebrate National Beer Lovers Day! Boozy flavors of a Bourbon Old Fashioned; bourbon forward with a note of cherry and finished with orange peel. Nice gift from my son!
