This is top notch!! Loads of caramel, sweetness and a hint of chocolate. The Rhum is well presented and leaves an awesome taste. Herbal hints and sugar cane are omnipresent. The beer sticks to the mouth and has an oily sticky feel.

Loads of earthy coffee in the nose. An earthy coffee flavor to start with. More sweetness and dark chocolate in mid flavor. Again the coffee in the ending and aftertaste. The bourbon is very mellow and really complements the beer instead of overpowering.

Nemesis (2021) Koomen

Solid American barleywine. Malty, bitterness, caramel, bit of a woody hint.

Panther Cub (2021) Koomen

Really nice flavors. The vanilla and the bourbon go really well together and the roasty malts give a bit of bitterness to balance it all. Could be thicker, although it's a porter.

Loads of malty sweetness, caramel, bit of bitterness.

Whirl Domination Koomen

Nose gives resin and citrus. The flavor resemblances the scent. Fair amount of bitterness, resin and citrus.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter Koomen

Sweet citrus grapefruit like scent. The flavor starts with a sweet citrus and a hint of bourbon. The bourbon gets stronger towards the end. The grapefruit citrus flavors go really well with the sweetness of the bourbon. Both not overpowering the other.

Geuze Mariage Parfait (2014) Koomen

Nice sour tart flavor. Bit of a funk to it. Also some bitterness with apple. Really refreshing in this hot weather!

Curmudgeon’s Better Half (2018) Koomen

Really nice. Herbal old ale with sweet smooth bourbon and syrupy flavors.

Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek (2019) Koomen

Really nice. A lot more bitterness and a tart mouthfeel. Nice sour cherry flavor and a puckering feeling.

Kriek Boon (2019) Koomen

Quite a sweet kriek. Still very tasty and an easy accessable kriek. Bit of a sourish aftertaste with loads of cherries.

Scarlet Dawn IPA Koomen

Malty and herbal bitter scent. The flavor is quite bland. Bitterness and malt flavors but I'm nog wowed by either the bitter hops nor the herbal characteristics

All Day Vacay Koomen

Bitterish scent with a hint of citrus. First flavors is quite zesty. Late flavor has a more sweetish wheat flavor and hints melon.

Oude Geuze Boon (2015-2016) Koomen

Funky sour scent. Quite acidic and funky. The acidic start fades and leaves a sour funky flavor.

Grolsch Hoop Koomen

Floral scent with some hoppy notes. Not really getting that bitter IPA feeling. It's more a blond with ginger and a floral note.

Pilsner Koomen

Nice crisp hoppy pilsner.

Más Agave Grapefruit (2020) Koomen

Strangely sweet for a sour. Ok this is a lot to handle. Both sweet and sour. The sweet agave and the sour beer. Both in harmony. The grapefruit isn't that strong but gives a tangy bitter flavor.

Frootwood Koomen

Sour cherries and sweet bourbon in the nose. Both the cherries and the bourbon give a balanced flavor. The sour from the cherries is countered with the bourbon sweetness. This beer is both refreshing and warming.
