Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter

Brown Ale - American

They don't make 'em like they used to... or do they? The bottle shop series is a tribute to the folks who supported ragtag brewer's across the country when craft beer was in its infancy. when beer enthusiasts sought out innovation through big flavor, in your face complexity and revered quality above all else. This series is for you: the distinguished beer connoisseur still seeking the revolution that energized the industry we know today -- that settles for nothing less then the very best!

Bottled 7/7/21. A mildly sweet strong ale with those vanilla and brown sugar notes. Remindable of an old fashioned with the barrel aged notes. A nice sipper.

Pretty solid take on an old fashioned. Cherry forward with orange, bourbon & oak

Pretty damn good...slight booziness, but still pretty smooth for 11%

High marks for originality here. It's described as a combo cocktail and beer and it hits that. Sort of like an old fashion mixed with a Belgian double. Definitely taste the bitters. Boozy. Pretty unique beer. Would only want one.

A bit too sweet & heavy, taste like malt liquor.

The idea is to taste like an old fashioned. I'll buy it again.

Imperial brown ale, barrel aged and flavored to taste like an old fashioned.

Orange peel and spices make for a nice brown ale, bourbon compliments nicely.

Gotta visualize the flavor profile

Whiskey taste, dark cherry notes, & bitter orange peel each readily apparent. A Manhattan in a beer bottle. Less depth of flavor than a couple competing offerings, but per usual for Founders it masks the alcohol to almost zero (at 11%ABV!). Easy drinking.

がっつりコアントローやオレンジキュラソーのニュアンス。仄かな漂うバレル感がクセになる。これはとてもユニークだなぁ。11%は絶対に嘘でしょ…炭酸やトニックで割りたくなるくらい爽やか。

Backlog. Litt mye boozy og bourbon. I tillegg alt forsøt. Smaker som en drink. Ikke helt min greie.
