Een smaak die we niet hadden verwacht. Heel veel koffie. Geen idee hoe zo’n velvet cake smaakt, maar naast het heftige cafeïneshot proeven we chocolade, Bourbon en een bittertje. Misschien had deze wel wat warmer gemogen…

Geur van chocolade met smaak van koffie. Heerlijk mild. Beste van stout maar dan in een dubbel.

Très gourmand au nez (liqueur chocolat noir) avec vanille et lactose. En bouche c est crémeux, chocolat noir, vanille et le bourbon qui assèche la bière. Lactose pas très perceptible, la bière manque memeun peu de corps

Geiler intensiver süßlicher Röstgeruch, etwas dünne im Mund, das Bier sollte man wegriechen :)

Family Movie Night: Lightyear! Also this was bottled 8.4.21, so just missed the exact year anniversary.

I really enjoyed this (maybe more some older bottles than that first time). Almost fudgy, the brown ale base is a welcome variation in the chocolate/coffee/barrel aged stout genre. Might be better if the bourbon came through a little more.

Has aged nicely! Smooth brown ale does not disappoint! A little boozy but in a nice way.

Great chocolate nose, chocolate/coffee taste - bourbon finish. A little flat, but an overall winner!

This beer too has this distinct Founders bourbon barrel taste, that is running consistently through their BA range. It just could use a little extra oomph to really make it up to par.

Strong bourbon and chocolatey nose but not as strong taste wise. Thick smooth and creamy with a nice boozy warmth.

Milk chocolate and the taste of hot peppers without any actual heat. The cocoa is great but the peppers miss the mark.

Great entry level / introductory beer into the world of Bourbon Barrel Beers. Not overly alcoholic, smooth, light chocolate notes, with the lactose making it more milk chocolate than dark. Good
