De geur was direct vreselijk. Totaal men ding niet. Na de eerste slok dacht ik word voor de gootsteen. Maar hij is redelijk zoet en dat red hem daarvan.

Not smooth like the name "Velvet" implies...it is a pretty boosie mash up of a thin coffee forward stout with hints of chocolate, vanilla, carmel, and cinnamon. Too much going on, and not pleasant on the palate.

Not what I would expect from a Founder’s limited release. Coffee flavor tastes like old Folgers grinds.

Steel cage match of muddled flavors. Cheap bourbon and Folgers, boozy and sickly/cloying vanilla but still a little thin for a beer this big.

De eerste tonen van chocola zijn lekker maar de afdronk bevalt mij niet. Blijkt toch dat ik niet hou van bier dat gerijpt is op houten vaten van whiskey.

Roodbruin, weinig schuimend, helder, niet zuur, niet fruitig, niet bitter of IPA, te zoet, gemaakt met chocolade, vanille extract, koffie, melksuiker en Bourbon barrel aged, te veel van alles, lijkt eerder op een vloeibare Bourbon praline dan bier, beuh
