For me this one is more on the scotch ale side, I get some coffee that quickly disappears and leaves a strong taste of vanilla and alcohol

From last night. Balanced and delicious. Drinks like it's 7%, not 11.1%.

As usual, Founders hits these high ABV brown ales (11.1%) out of the park. Coffee is perfect and the chocolate and vanilla make this tastes like a creamy cup of Joe. There is a little barrel in the background...would like more. Great Beer!!

The flavors all work together so well. I can’t believe how smooth it is. Give me a campfire in 40 degree weather to really enjoy this.

Subtle coffee, chocolate, and barrel aging. If an 11% beer can be mellow, it’s this. Real nice.

Very intriguing! Fresh brewed coffee nose with an upfront taste followed by a slightly sweet finish that warms the belly.might be worthy of a 5,even a belch tastes like fresh coffee

Silky smooth...Coffee and cream (the vanilla extract I'm guessing) and a huge bourbon nose. Absolutely delicious.

Brown ale really is one of the best platforms to pickup all the additions. Chocolate aroma, sweet vanilla coffee finished with malty woody dry finish
