Holy adjuncts Batman! This beer is spot-on per the flavors it advertises. Unfortunately the beer portion gets lost under all of the adjuncts. The only redeeming part for me is the barrel-aging. If it didn’t have the bourbon edge it would be too sweet.

Light toasted caramel malts, chocolate, vanilla, coffee hints light bourbon notes, lactose. Not bad but not as interesting as you would think for a big brown barrel aged brew from Founders. Lighter then you would think for 11% also, not bad but eh

Don’t normally drink in the morning, but sharing beers with my friend Andrew living in Japan. This one is as advertised, but seems to lack “soul”. I taste everything in the profile, but the barrel age on this one seems more formality than necessary?

Good. KBS with lactose and extra chocolate. Missing something I can’t quite put my finger on….

Toasty and quite boozy. Coffee and chocolate are prominent. It's a lot, but it's good!

A little coffee flavor knocked it down a notch for me but as I had more I tasted more chocolate and it grew on me.
