i was first going to judge this lower because it wasn’t as “velvety” as i thought it would be, but i realized it’s not a “stout”, which that velvety mouthfeel rly comes out in. this is an interesting ale, with “stout-y” characteristics.

Coffe and chocolate on the nose, bitter coffee, chocolate and some slight vanilla on the palate. Not to shabby

Founders adore faire des Brown Ale BA décidément. Au nez, le café et le Bourbon prédominent. En bouche, on retrouve les saveurs du Bourbon et de la barrique. Le café également. Le chocolat et la vanille sont beaucoup plus discrets. Du Founders efficace.

When I read the description of chocolate, vanilla extract, milk sugar, it concerned me. So often brewers think you need to be slammed in the face with the adjuncts or it’s not good. This is very good. Well brewed. Thanks Dave H.
