Smooth creamy roast; perfect for breakfast. Add a little milk and you couldn't tell the difference.

I love Founders Brewing. Gave this a 4.25 on Jan. 10, 2020. Disappointed this time. It seemed lacking. I was also impressed with the first 3rd of the Quorum Shade torpedo. Thought it was an amazing cigar for $3. It fell off significantly in the end.

A little underwhelming this year. Not a lot of barrel character. Roasty, nice coffee notes, berries, chocolate, a little on the bitter side, even a little salty at times. A little thin and quick too. Still good, just not great.

Surprisngly good! Not too boozy where it's hard to drink, and well balanced with the chocolate and coffee. Delightfully rich. Would recommend this one!

Like 2020 version, it’s a lot of coffee (which I don’t drink if not infused in beer) and, to me, much like Breakfast Stout. A little smoother and maybe a little sweeter on the back end. Maybe.

Good to try this again, but the espresso detracts from the body and barrel more than ever before. Enjoyable though as it warms.
