I'm a bit conflicted on this. Cold it delivers a wonderful hazelnut flavor with just a hint of the barrel aging. However, as it warms up, the hazelnut flavor really takes over and can become too strong. Drink it colder than most stouts.

Surprisingly not overly sweet. Very smooth a nice beer to sip on a chilly night.

Nice. Coffee, creamy, chocolate then that barrel heat sneaks up on you. Half pour was the correct choice

Solid stout with strong hazelnut on the nose but lighter balance on the nose.

Roasty, slightly nutty nose. Pretty smooth, not too full or too thin. Big coffee flavor up front, slightly bitter, followed by a smooth nuttiness and a booze finish.

Not a huge Stout fan,( I know I'm missing out on a lot of great beers) I'm always willing to try any of the KBS line from founders
