Last bottle from the 2018 batch. Smooth, lots of bourbon flavor, warm booziness. Good hit of coffee.

Backwoods Bastard (2014) G

Can smell mellowed oak and boozy caramel. Very smooth. Toffee and molasses up front, a boozy bourbon kick in the finish that has a hint of charred wood. Even after 10 years the booze still builds just a bit too much. Not many better ways to spend $1.99.

Smells tart and fruity. Very tart, dry, fruity. You will pucker and smack your lips.

Ginger, Spice, Barreled And Nice G

Definite ginger and a little clove on the nose. Clove and cinnamon come through well in the taste. Between that and the booziness it’s definitely a warming beer. Spice flavor tends to dominate though. Ends up like a clove beer w/ some sweetness.

Lots of oak in the nose and flavor. Smooth and a hazy light brown. A little caramel followed by a boozy punch. Booze is a bit overpowering.

Love the mix of sweet and heat in this one. Seems to have a little more heat than I remember, but maybe the bottle is a little older. Can’t beat a 4-pack of a good 10% beer for $7 though!

Very subtle, slightly sweet nose. Has a floral sweetness followed by a hint of the maple. Some boozy warmth and a little more sweetness at the end. Nice.

French Toast Bastard G

Not quite as overpoweringly sweet as last time it seems. Cinnamon comes through a little more, but still a big maple presence. Little booze in the finish.

Wake Up World Wide Stout (2022) G

Light coffee nose. Big, rich coffee flavor it masks the usually big, boozy flavor that World Wide Stout has. Very light hints of cinnamon and maple sweetness. Makes the 17% more dangerous.

60 Minute IPA (2022) G

French Toast Bastard G

Sweet maple nose w/ a hint of cinnamon. Big maple up front that is too sweet, even when the cinnamon adds some spice to balance. A little earthy/bitter finish that doesn't quite fit. Overall breakfast in a glass, but the sweetness is too much.

Ultimate Oktoberfest G

I had no idea this was an imperial when I bought it. Can smell the bourbon. Smooth, some malt, but the bourbon is a lot more prevalent. Definitely a big hit for the barrel aging fans. David C.

Mandarin & Mango Crush G

Light fruity smell. Light and crisp. Lots of fruit flavor. The mandarins come through most in flavor and in the tartness. It’s not tart like a sour ale, but definitely tart enough. Good while the weather is still warm.

Light fruit nose. Lots of sweet mango upfront with some habanero heat in the finish. Nice balance of sweet and heat. Glad they brought this one back!

Roasty, slightly nutty nose. Pretty smooth, not too full or too thin. Big coffee flavor up front, slightly bitter, followed by a smooth nuttiness and a booze finish.

KBS Espresso G

Nice melt feel and coffee flavor, but the roast is just a little bit too bitter in the finish.

Kriek Mariage Parfait (2015) G

Random find. Aged kriek for $5. Tart and fruity, light sweetness to balance, but definitely not sweet. Nice cherry flavor though.

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) G

Coffee and light cinnamon on the nose. More coffee and lots of cinnamon in the flavor. Smooth, with a hint of chocolate and bourbon in the finish. More sweetness than vanilla balances it all. Cinnamon is a bit too strong

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) G

I assume it’s a 2021 bottle. Unmistakable Utopias nose, hints of fig and vermouth. Has that raisin and roast booziness of WWS with a slightly smoother finish. A little caramel and vermouth and a lot of alcohol in the finish. Nice sipper!

Malt with a little caramel and booze on the nose. Tastes the same, with a good mouthfeel and a little hop bitterness in the finish.

World Wide Stout (2016) G

Strong and boozy. A little sweet, roasty, and caramelly, but very boozy.

Costumes And Karaoke G

Spices come through in nose and taste, especially turmeric. Smooth, creamy, and a bit malty.

Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter G

Nose has lots of orange peel w/ a little malt beneath. Smooth, full feel with caramely malt and orange throughout. Fairly sweet, but with a slightly bitter, boozy, orange and bourbon finish.

Más Agave Prickly Pear G

4 Giants IPA (2020) G

Pretty malty nose with hops taking a backseat. Definitely a more balanced DIPA. Malty and somewhat sweet up front, hoppy bitterness follows, w/ some of the sweetness carrying through to balance the finish.

Campfire Amplifier G

Sweetish chocolate nose. Pretty smooth stout with a good, but not too strong, roast presence. Subtle sweetness, but not really a vanilla/marshmallow flavor.

KBS Espresso G

Nice espresso nose. Rich and smooth with good coffee flavor and a slightly bitter finish with roast and dark cocoa. Bourbon warms throughout w/o overpowering.

Underground Mountain Brown G

Like a boozy, sweet coffee. Bourbon kicks in midway. Roasty finish.

American Beauty Hazy Ripple IPA G

Smooth, juicy, and very tropical. Lots of pineapple coming through.
